Kaspersky 01 Eng Carfleet 15 MOTORSPORTMAGAZINE I SSUE 01 2013 RELATIONSHIPA WINNING INSIDE ►KASPERSKY LAB ►FERRARI ►FUOCO ►MANCINELLI KASPERSKY AND FERRARI A WINNING RELATIONSHIP here is one aspect that reunites Ferrari and Kaspersky Lab: the desire of being the best, Tanyway and at any time, the ability to never be content in the day-to-day relationships with partners and opponents. "At Kaspersky Lab, when we do something, we fight with the goal of doing it better than any other competitor - said Eugene Kaspersky, Co- Founder and CEO - and, more important, to do it differently. When we decide to invest in the development of our brand, we only join forces with players that share our values: innovation, business leadership, quality and success. For this reason, we are happy and proud to partner Ferrari, the world's most renowned and loved Formula 1 team". 2 Eugene Kaspersky 3 t is question of chemistry. The Kaspersky Lab team is a brand of absolute excellence in terms of designing Iand developing anti-virus software. In the last 15 years, thanks to the many experts involved, the company's pro- ducts made life easier for more than 300 million customers worldwide. And the partnership with Ferrari was a logical step to take, as it reunited two success stories with one additional common element. Both companies are named after their founders, Enzo Ferrari and Eugene Kaspersky, two men that grew up with innovation as their main goal and focus. On the other hand, F.1 means technology excellence. With the evolution of digital systems, now motorsports need part- ners that guarantee absolute reliability in on order to mana- ge complicated networks requiring perfect protection. In May 2013, during the Grand Prix of Spain at Barcelona, the first partnership between Ferrari and Kaspersky Lab was launched, and included a sponsorship package for the Russian brand of AF Corse in the Le Mans Series plus an official supplier deal for the Formula 1 team. In 2011 it came the first upgrade: Kaspersky Lab became an official spon- sor of Ferrari in Formula 1 for 2011 and 2012 while still retai- ning the commitment with AF Corse. The Kaspersky Lab brand appeared on the Ferrari 458 GT driven by Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni to double titles in the 2011 Le Mans Series and in the International Le Mans Cup. 4 KASPERSKY AND FERRARI A WINNING RELATIONSHIP t Ferrari, they have been very frank and honest" - told Eugene Kaspersky in a recent meeting with Athe most influential bloggers of the IT panorama. "When we contacted them for the first time they told us that, since we did not have any experience in motorsports, we would have used a progressive approach, starting from a small sponsorship in GT competition and in the Ferrari Challenge in order to measure the operation's efficiency step-by-step. 'If you like the results' - they said - 'then we will be widening our relationship, if not, we will try to limit the loss, if any'. Today, Kaspersky Lab is one of Ferrari's main sponsors, with its logo appearing on the sidepods of the two F.1 cars, on the team's wear and on the drivers' suits and helmets. The 2013 season also featured a new strategy. Following to a 5-year deal started in April 2013, Ferrari became a customer of Kaspersky Lab and will be provided with security solutions aimed at protecting their endpoints. In collaboration with the Ferrari ICT, Kaspersky Lab developed a customized solution to satisfy those needs, developed through six months of thorough compliance tests and benchmarks with other IT security suppliers. The solu- tions developed by Kaspersky Lab were installed on about 4.000 computers, and other installs will come in order to cover the whole Ferrari panorama. "Despite the fact that it is coming from a completely different business, Kaspersky Lab compares with Ferrari in two key aspects: the research for speed and synergy. As well as Ferrari, we must be quick in reacting to the threats against digital security to provide solutions when a threat appears". said Eugene Kasperski, CEO and Co-Founder of Kaspersky Lab. "Like Ferrari established its success on the perfect synergy between the cars, the drivers and the team, Kaspersky Lab relies on innovative technology and top experts to develop the best security solutions available on the market". This project represents a true benchmark in the field, especially considering Ferrari's needs. The Kaspersky Lab solution will not be installed only on the com- puters used in the offices, but also on the smartphones and tablet PCs used by the staff. Ferrari also dictated some iron- hard standards regarding their production process to gua- rantee the security of their drivers during the races. For this reason, Kaspersky Lab developed a solution that combi- nes maximum flexibility in terms of the management with a total control over the IT systems. Technology, innovation, Vilander and Bruni speed are pivotal aspects of this partnership, which is at Le Mans 2011 already a worldwide success. 5 6 FERRARI’S RUN FOR THE TITLE A battle for excellence, an high-tech challenge that also involves a key human aspect. MEDIA INFORMATION September 1 Round 4: 2013 6 Hours of Sao Paulo New MICHELIN endurance racing tyres: Medium compound for hot weather… mission accomplished! The 2013 6 Hours of Sao Paulo saw Audi Sport Team Joest claim a one-two finish. The job of the two Audi R18 e-tron quattros was facilitated by the early elimination of the TOYOTA TS030 Hybrid following a tangle 35 minutes into the race. However, that didn‟t prevent the German team‟s drivers from producing an exciting fight as they battled for WEC FIA World Endurance Championship points. Their clash lasted until Lap 142 when the N°2 Audi lost a wheel as it re- joined the track after a pit-stop. It was compelled to complete a whole lap with just three corners attached before the situation was corrected during an unscheduled stop. Despite all these incidents, MICHELIN Motorsport‟s technical staff were able to carry out a thorough analysis of the brand‟s latest LMP1 endurance racing tyres after they had used the summer break to develop new solutions adapted to the more abrasive tracks visited by the second half of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship. Audi Sport Team Joest and Toyota Motorsport GmbH were both able to use these new tyres during Friday‟s free practice session. They were won over by their performance and chose to use them for qualifying. “We were pleasantly surprised because we had very few opportunities to test the new medium- compound MICHELIN tyres before leaving for Brazil,” observed Audi Sport Team Joest driver Benoît TRELUYER before the start of the race.

www.porscheroadandrace.com Gianmaria Bruni on the 911 RSR Published: 30th June 2017 By: Glen Smale Online version: https://www.porscheroadandrace.com/gianmaria-bruni-on-the-911-rsr/ The #912 Porsche RSR that Gianmaria Bruni will share with Laurens Vanthoor There was great excitement in Porsche circles around the world, when it was announced earlier this year that the Italian Ferrari driver, Gianmaria Bruni, had split from his AF Corse Ferrari team and was to join the Porsche GTE ranks. His contract precluded him from racing for an opposition team inside six months, and so he has been limited to testing the 911 RSR. Bruni will join Porsche in the USA in its challenge for honours in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. www.porscheroadandrace.com “I was very impressed with the team’s professionalism,” said Gianmaria Bruni. The Italian has waited a long time for this opportunity, but on 2 July in Watkins Glen in the American state of New York, he will contest his first race for Porsche with the 911 RSR in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. “It’s a big challenge for me to switch in the middle of the season to such a strongly supported series like the IMSA SportsCar Championship with a new car,” said the new Porsche works driver in an interview. After securing victories and titles for Ferrari over the past years, he now joins forces with his Belgian works driver teammate Laurens Vanthoor to tackle North America’s premier sports car championship for Porsche. “There are many things I’ll have to get used to, but I’m very grateful for this chance and I’ll do everything to achieve successes with Porsche as soon as possible.” Gianmaria, up until now you’ve only tested the new 911 RSR.

2 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Hello FCA Southwest Region Members, “I am a member of “The Ferrari Club of America, Southwest Region.” What does that mean? To me it means I’m a member of the best car club anyone could be a member of. It means I get to meet people who share the same pas - sion I have for my favorite Italian car. It means I have made lasting friends and relationships. It means I get to see cars under normal circumstances I would never see. It means I have ample opportunity to drive my car on the track, with plenty of opportunities to go on scenic drives for the day –the weekend –and sometimes longer that that. It means I get to display my car in numerous concours, and have the opportunity to win trophies and awards. And It means about 25+ more items that I can add to the list. I bet you can even think of more than that. It’s so much more than just a car club, it’s an ability to participate in a life style that we all are so fortunate to have the means to do so. That’s what it is to me. Think about it, see what it means to you. We have a fantastic year of events coming up. By the time you are reading this, the Holiday Party, Kart racing, The Tech Inspection at South Bay Ferrari, The Nethercutt Collection, the Mullin Museum Run, and the Enzo Cruise In event would have passed.
