Friday December 20th, 2013 NEWS RELEASE 2014 CALENDAR BANKS ON FAITH FAITH CALLENDER’S highly-anticipated 2014 Banks Beer Calendar has officially been given the green light! Describing herself as “intelligent, talented and humble”, the exquisite 20-year-old beauty was photographed earlier this week in front of the popular Banks Beer-branded Pug’s Bar in Christ Church. Following her success in the Oistins Bay Garden earlier this month, where she was crowned 2014 Banks Calendar Girl from a field of eight ladies, the University of the West Indies Accounts and Finance student couldn’t be more thrilled with the results of her first photo-shoot for the ‘Beer of Barbados’ as its official Ambassador. “I still can’t believe it’s me. I think it came out perfect,” said the former Alleyne School student. “This has been an incredible journey and I look forward to what the coming year holds as I represent the most awarded beer in the Caribbean. I will certainly put my best foot forward.” Comparing herself to the ‘Beer of Barbados’, she also thanked Banks (Barbados) Breweries Limited for the opportunity. “First and foremost, we are both proud Barbadians,” she said, adding that “we also strive to be the best and we know exactly what we stand for. It may sound cliché to some, but this experience has been a dream come true for me.” Bernard Frost, Group Marketing Manager for Banks Holdings Limited, expressed his delight at having Faith represent the Banks Beer brand. “She is the complete package of beauty and brains, and we are delighted to have her represent the ‘Beer of Barbados’,” he said. 1 “She obviously has a passion for success which is clearly evident in how she approaches her work. I was enjoying Friday night trips to Whitefriars Ale House in Coventry with their ever changing selection of guest ales. However I could never really remember which beers or breweries I’d enjoyed most a few months later. The nearby Inspire Café Bar provided a different challenge with its range of European beers that were often only differentiated by their number – was it the 6, 8 or 10 that I liked? So I started to make notes on the beers to improve my powers of selection. Now, over three years on, that simple list has grown into the book you hold. As well as straightforward likes and dislikes, the book contains what I have learnt about the many styles of beer and the history of brewing in countries across the world. It reflects the diverse beers that are being produced today and the differing attitudes to it.

2019 Australian Amateur Brewing Championship Style Guidelines 2019 AUSTRALIAN AMATEUR BREWING CHAMPIONSHIP STYLE GUIDELINES The following Categories and Styles have been agreed upon for the 2019 competition. The only significant change from 2017 is the addition of the style 12.1 NEIPA. Entrants to the Australian Amateur Brewing Championship must first qualify by placing 1st , 2nd or 3rd at an endorsed State Championship. Brewers are then entitled to enter a beer in that Category in the AABC. See www.aabc.org.au Beers will be judged against the Style Guidelines in this document. For this reason, brewers must specify one of the listed Styles for each entry.
