Used by Hal Hill at Brooklands and many long-distance rallies before & after the First World War and last used by him in 1925. Fitted with the Gradua Gear, designed by Freddie Barnes in 1908 and fitted by Zenith until 1925. Zenith were barred from competing in the same classes as machines without variable gears, hence from 1910 the Zenith Trade Mark included the word BARRED. Capable of about 70 mph on the track, it's fitted with the JAP sidevalve engine, with 90mm bore x 77.5 stroke. It also has the large belt pulleys giving a variation from 3 to 1 in top gear, down to 6 to 1 in low gear. Rebuilt in 1964 and used by the current owner in VMCC events. _________________________________________________________________________________________ 1914 Rover Sturmey Archer 3 ½ Classes Entered:Pre 1950 Sunbeam MCC Bike Details: Found languishing in a garage, last used in 1972, as witnessed by an old tax disc.     CEO Message-July 2019 Scholarships -Community Fairs-Building Bikes -Serving Hundreds in our Summer Program You may not be aware of all that goes on in our BGCCC facilities as the school year concludes and summer ramps up with more and more activities to keep our youth involved, engaged, entertained and anxious to be at our sites each day. This is the time we serve over 1,000 young people at our clubs in Frisco, McKinney and Plano. The school year ended with exciting news as we had twelve seniors receive Toyota Scholarships at a great event at the Toyota North America Headquarters in Plano. Toyota Financial Services executives spoke, other employees shared their roles and opportunities at Toyota and scholarship recipients got to share questions on their future, college and any concerns they may have. We were honored to have seniors from all three BGCCC locations receive scholarships. Our programs such as Project Learn, DIY STEAM and Career Launch helped the recipients below receive scholarships to a wide variety of colleges and community colleges. Congratulations to: Sara Bowles-Plano, Dajah Dickerson-Frisco, Kayla Henderson- Frisco, Jamichael Hooks-Plano, Da’Vante Miller-Frisco, Michella Miller-Plano, Dylan Reed-McKinney, Shandrieka Ross-McKinney, Devion Rucker-Frisco, Heriberto Saavedra Tinoco-Frisco, Maria Sanchez-Plano, Naj-Ja Sherman- McKinney. We have lots of outstanding corporate supporters and in June, we thank Legacy Texas Bank for hosting a Community Fest program at our McKinney branch. Hundreds of attendees enjoyed games, food, financial education programs, face painting and fun for the whole family. Mai wird beim 24-Stunden-Rennen auf dem Nürburgring in der Eifel wieder die furchterregende Nordschleife in Angriff genommen. Über 70 Kurven weist die Nordschleife auf ihrem mehr als 24 km langen Kurs auf, für die Erlernung der Strecke benötigen Fahrer Tage anstatt wie sonst Runden. Der Straßenkurs beinhaltet eine abwechslungsreiche Mischung unterschiedlicher Belag- und Kurventypen, die Dunlops Reifen auf Herz und Nieren prüfen werden. Dazu sind häufige Wetterwechsel an der Tagesordnung – auch in der Nacht. Der Kurs der Nordschleife gehört zu den renommiertesten Zielen für Reifentests, und bei den 24 Stunden auf dem Nürburgring herrscht freier Reifenwettbewerb. Während die Motorenhersteller ihre neuesten High-Speed-Produkte auf der Strecke testen, versuchen ihre Reifenpartner, Maschine und Reifen aufeinander abzustimmen, um dem Fahrer maximalen Grip, Rückmeldung und Vertrauen zu geben. Ein Sieg hier ist ein hart erarbeiteter Sieg. Zum Arsenal von Dunlop im Kampf gegen konkurrierende Reifenhersteller gehören bei diesem Rennen rund um die Uhr auch führende AMG- und BMW-Teams. Heerscharen von Fans campen über das Wochenende im Freien, um ihre Favoriten zu unterstützen. Mehr als 200 Autos treten bei der Veranstaltung an, eine breit gefächerte Zahl von Rennklassen trägt den sehr unterschiedlichen teilnehmenden Fahrzeugen Rechnung.
