INTRODUCTION OCT 28-29, 2011 NEW YORK CITY Dear Interested Sponsor, The High Atlas Foundation is proud to announce the Moroccan Film Festival: Second Edition on October 28-29th, 2011 at New York's Tribecas Cinemas. The Moroccan Film Festival has set the stage for Morocco to showcase on an international screen its voices, multiculturalism, and filmmakers. The Festival is a special opportunity to raise support for projects in rural Morocco--led by the High Atlas Foundation--that build the economy and strengthen the environment of disadvantaged communities. The Festival will present ten films, many provided by the Centre Cinématographique Marocain, and selected by our prestigious film selection committee. Feature films will be preceded by Moroccan student films selected from the innovative Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech. The event will also showcase exceptional artwork of up-and-coming Moroccan artists. This year's Festival will not only expand the parameters of Moroccan film and strengthen the bridge between the Unites States and Morocco, but also be a fundraising avenue for Moroccan community projects in fruit tree agriculture, clean drinking water, women and youth empowerment, and participatory development training. Scheduled over two days, this international cultural event will kick-o in New York City on October 28th with our opening gala. Among expected attendees are Moroccan and US dignitaries, artists, filmmakers, corporate leaders, nonprofit supporters, film aficionados, and people who feel connected to the North African country. We hope that you will be part of this celebration of Moroccan film and support the country's human development. Your participation is greatly valued and is not only an integral part of raising awareness of Moroccan film and HAF rural projects, but is the perfect platform for reaching a broader Moroccan and American audience for your company. Sincerely, Nora Larhouasli Marrakchi, Festival Co-‐Chair and HAF Board Member Houda Areski, Festival Co-‐Chair www.highatlasfoundation.org October 28-29, 2011 at Tribeca Cinemas, New York THE HIGH ATLAS FOUNDATION THE HIGH ATLAS FOUNDATION MOROCCAN MOROCCAN FILM FESTIVAL 1.
