European Parliament 2014-2019 Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs LIBE_PV(2018)1126_1 MINUTES Meeting of 26 November 2018, 15.00 - 18.30, and 27 November 2018, 9.00 - 13.00 and 14.30 - 18.30 BRUSSELS The meeting opened at 15.16 on Monday, 26 November 2018, with Claude Moraes (Chair) presiding. 1. Adoption of agenda LIBE_OJ (2018)1126_1 The draft agenda was adopted with the following changes: Point 12: the presentation of the draft report on Establishing an exchange, assistance and training programme for the protection of the euro against counterfeiting for the period 2021-2027 (the ‘Pericles IV programme') was postponed. 2. Chair’s announcements Linguistic profile Interpretation was available on 26 November in all languages except Gaelic. For the meeting of 27 November in the morning, all languages would be available except Croatian and Gaelic and for the afternoon session all languages except Croatian, Gaelic and Maltese. Endorsement of Coordinators' recommendations (pursuant to Rule 205 of the EP Rules of Procedure) The committee endorsed the following nomination of Rapporteurs: Claude Moraes (in his capacity as LIBE Chair) has been nominated Rapporteur for the Proposal for a Regulation amending Council Regulation (EC) No 539/2001 listing the third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those whose nationals are exempt from that requirement, as regards the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the Union - COM(2018)0745 - 2018/0390(COD); PV\1170769EN.docx PE631.800v01-00 EN United in diversityEN Sophia in 't Veld (ALDE) has been nominated Rapporteur for the Resolution on the activities of the Working Group with a general mandate to monitor the situation as regards rule of law and fight against corruption within the EU and address specific situations, in particular Malta and Slovakia (ROLMG); Juan Fernando López Aguilar (S&D) has been nominated Rapporteur on the own- initiative report on Humanitarian Visas. 3. The Internet Organised Crime Threat Assessment (iOCTA) LIBE/8/01906 Presentation by Philipp Amann, Head of Unit of Strategy, Europol cybercrime center (EC3). Philipp Amann took the floor on behalf of Europol and presented the iOCTA report. The following Member took the floor: Tomáš Zdechovský (PPE). Philipp Amann replied to the questions. 4. LIBE working group on Schengen scrutiny LIBE/8/09810 Reporting back to committee by the Chair of the Working Group, Carlos Coelho Carlos Coelho presented the works of the Schengen scrutiny working group.
