Albatros Includes the following types and variants built by this manufacturer: D.I ‐ D.Va Series Fighters C.XII Albatros C.XII Albatros C.XII C.XII prototypes German Army Air Service, C.9313/17 C.XII prototypes, German Army Air Service, 1917 Latvia WW1 This was the second of three prototypes. It crashed at Latvia on 10 June 1917, killing the pilot Leutnant Erich Lindemann. The squadron was involved in the D‐Day glider and paratrooper drops. The aircraft had the large back and white D‐Day markings applied to the wings and fuselage. The black bar was the Squadron's marking and the red wheel covers and spinner denoted "A" Flight. In March 1927 they reequipped with the Siskin IIIA. J8386, flown by Fg Off Andrews, came fourth in the Sir Philip Sasson Cup, May 1927.
