After an evenly-matched first half saw a deadlocked score at 28-28, but the Bluejays used a 50 percent shooting performance in the second half to pull away from the Builders and win the first meeting of the two. First matchup in December was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns Southwestern entered contest 14-8 (10-6), Tabor 9-8 (7-8) Tabor leads all-time series 18-17 It is Tabor’s first win over Southwestern since 2016, breaking an eight-game winning streak for the Moundbuilders Stats of the Game Zhahidi Robinson (SO/St. Petersburg, Fla.) led all scorers in the contest, ending with 22 points off of the bench in 28 minutes Troy Baker (SR/Maize, Kan.) was the other member to hit double figures, tallying 13 points, six rebounds, and two blocks Quintin Wallace (SR/Clarksville, Texas) finished with eight points and five rebounds Southwestern outscored Tabor in bench points 35-23 Tabor shot 45% from three, Southwestern 20% Largets lead: Benedictine (19), Southwestern (5) Outside the box Tony Kinser (JR/Hugoton, Kan.) leads the KCAC in blocks with 32 total, averaging 1.7 per game Baker is 11th in the NAIA in total rebounds with an even 200 Southwestern ranks top ten in the NAIA in both blocked shots and offensive rebounds Southwestern’s next scheduled contest will be at home on Saturday, February 13th when they host the Sterling Warriors for senior night.
