Cameron Clark, 2012-2013 KCAC Freshman of the Year, played in 30 games for the Moundbuilders. He led Southwest- Saturday’s Results ern in Scoring with 422 points (14.07 PPG), Field Goal Percentage (0.463), and Rebounding with 268 (8.93 RPG). He Jan. 16, 2014 was third overall in conference rebounding behind two seniors, and he was first in offensive rebounds. Clark recorded Ottawa Univ. @ Southwestern College 60-70 nine double-doubles last year, including a 28-point/13-rebound game against Bethany. In the KCAC, Clark was fourth Bethel College @ Kansas Wesleyan Univ. 67-85 in Field Goal Percentage and eighth in Scoring. Univ. of Saint Mary @ Tabor College 51-63 McPherson College @ Bethany College 68-89 Anthony White, 2012-2013 KCAC Defensive Player of the Year, led Friends in Scoring with 394 points (13.13 PPG), Field Friends Univ. @ Sterling College 87-91 Goal Percentage (0.681), and Rebounding with 250 (8.33 RPG). White recorded 10 double-doubles last year, including a 12-point/16-rebound game against Avila. KCAC Coaches and Media Poll: Following the Kansas Collegiate Athletic College Men’s Basketball Media Day, votes Upcoming Games were tabulated for both the KCAC Coaches’ and Media Preseason Polls. Friends University takes the top spot in each Jan. 25, 2014 poll, with seven first place votes in the Coaches’ Poll and four in the Media Poll. 6:00 PM (21) Friends Univ. @ Ottawa Univ. 7:00 PM Univ. of Saint Mary @ Southwestern College In the Media Poll, Friends University edges Tabor College by five points. The Bluejays tie the Falcons with four first place 7:00 PM McPherson College @ Bethel College votes. University of Saint Mary comes in third, six points behind Tabor. McPherson College is voted fourth by the media, 7:00 PM Tabor College @ Kansas Wesleyan Univ. two points shy of Saint Mary. Both the Spires and the Bulldogs garnered two first place votes. The last first place vote 7:00 PM (RV) Bethany College @ Sterling College went to Sterling College. The Warriors were voted fifth, two points behind McPherson.

The Coaches poll gives an 10-point edge to Friends over Saint Mary for first place. Two points then separate the Spires from the Tabor Bluejays who sit in third. McPherson Bulldogs finished fourth in voting, two points behind Tabor. Saint Mary, Tabor, and McPherson each received a first place vote.

During the 2012 – 2013 season Saint Mary (22-9, 16-2) and McPherson (15-18, 6-12) competed in the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament. After winning the KCAC Regular Season and finishing second in the Championship Tournament, Saint Mary fell to Saint Xavier (Ill.), 82-60, in the first round of the national tournament.

McPherson won the KCAC tournament as the #8 seed. They went into the NAIA DII Men’s Basketball Tournament as the bottom seed and challenge #1 Seed William Penn (Iowa.). The Bulldogs lost 71-65 after holding a halftime lead.

He ranks first in Rebounds 580 782 career wins at OU with 306. Carrier has led the Braves to five trips to the NAIA National Tournament (1993, 1995, 2002, 2008 and 2009). The Braves were NAIA District 10 Champions in ’93 and earned both the Rebounds per game 32.222 43.444 regular season and tournament KCAC Championships in ’95 and ’02. He was also a Blocks per game 2.889 4.889 member of the NAIA All-District 10 basketball team in 1981. Also an All-Conference performer in golf, Carrier was inducted into the Bethany College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.

In addition to coaching basketball, Carrier has served Ottawa University as Director of Enrollment for three years, Director of Athletics for nine years and Dean of Student Affairs for four. He served as Vice-President of the KCAC and was voted KCAC Athletic Administrator of the Year three times (1999, 2000 and 2005). He was inducted into the Braves Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.

Carrier is also an Associate Professor at OU and has taught in the Physical Education department as well as the Liberal Arts Studies program. His wife, Debbie, is an Associate Professor at Johnson County Community College. They have three children Skylar (23), Drew (17) and Kailea (13).
