Donovan Stevenson was elected president of the freshman class September 24 in a run-off with Curtis Askew. Askew had received 66 votes and Stevenson, 63 in an election September 12. Stevenson said, of the election, "I was disappointed at the announcement of the run-off, but I was surprised at the victory."
