The list of Kelly Johnson designs is a roll call of legendary aircraft. Lord of the Skunk Works Clarence “Kelly” Johnson left an unmatched legacy to military aviation. Johnson often joked that he earned more from his college wind tunnel work than he did during his first 10 years at Lockheed.
