In 1755, on 12 (25, New Style) January, St. Tatiana’s Day according to the Russian Orthodox Church calendar, Empress Elizaveta Petrovna signed the decree ordering that a university should be founded in Moscow. An influential courtier and public figure Count Shuvalov, who was a patron of arts and science, prepared the final project of the university establishment and presented it to the Empress. There were originally three faculties (at Moscow University the term “faculty” is traditionally applied to school or group of related departments within the university) – philosophy, law and medicine. Since the festival’s first edition in 2002, TIMF has been striving to assemble highly qualified musicians in order to build its own ensemble. In 2011, then Alexander Liebreich initiated a collaboration of musicians from Ensemble TIMF with the Munich Chamber Orchestra, thus for the first time building a truly international Festival Orchestra. From then on, the group was assembled annually, performing at home and abroad. At the opening of the new Tongyeong Concert Hall in 2014, TFO was again led by Alexander Liebreich and included musicians from Ensemble TIMF, Polish National Radio Orchestra of Katowice, and from major international symphony orchestras, such as NDR Hamburg, Munich Philharmonic, Kremerata Baltica, Osaka Philharmonic, Melbourne Symphony and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, TFO truly became a musical centerpiece of the Tongyeong International Music Festival. Following the festival theme „Voyages“, the orchestra went abroad to play in Japan and China. Performing together with violinist Gidon Kremer and German conductor Christoph Poppen, the orchestra consisted of musicians mainly from Korea, Japan and China to create a musical bridge between the three countries.

The Society was founded in 1926 and, during the past 92 years, has undergone a number of permutations which were the result of the many political and social shifts over the 20th Century. Originally, the Society exclusively helped children of Russian decent outside of Russia who were victims of the Russian Revolution and World Wars I & II. Eventually Europe, followed by South America, became self-sufficient and the Society refocused its efforts on helping children in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union. For the past two decades, the Society has devoted all of its aid to Russia. The Society’s primary activities include: pediatric maxillofacial surgery in partnership with the Russian Aid Foundation; a successful college scholarship program currently supporting 157 students; assisting vetted orphanages; and hosting an an- nual Christmas “Yelka” party where over 1,000 orphans from across Russia celebrate an unforgettable day in Moscow.

Therefore, we were surprised to read this article. We consider it unbalanced, editorialized, one-sided and such that presents the situation in Odessa only from the point of view of the Kremlin propaganda whose lies have been refuted countless times, including by the U.S. Government. Детальніше-Read More PETITION: Designate Russia as "State Sponsor of Terrorism" In its unannounced war against Ukraine, Russia relies on covert operations which fall squarely within the definition of "international terrorism" under 18 U.S.C. § 2331. Specifically, armed operatives of Russia, acting under disguise, attempt to influence the policy of Ukrainian government by intimidation or coercion. They also try to affect the conduct of a government by assassinations and kidnapping, taking by force government buildings, police posts and military bases of Ukraine. This activity is being conducted on large scale and over prolonged time period, despite condemnation by the USA, G-7, NATO, EU and UN. The White House.

PL9700208 28 Section V ,.,.-; ZEUS EXPERIMENT AT HERA ' ZEUS Collaboration 2 Group from the Institute of Nuclear Physics includes: P. Borzeniski, J. Chwastowski, A. Eskreys, K. Piotrzkowski, M. Przybycieri, M. Zachara, L. Zawiejski (physicists) and J. Andruszkow, B. Dajarowski, W. Daniluk, P. Jurkiewicz, A. Kotarba, K. Oliwa. W. Wierba (engineers and technicians) Third year of HERA operation was a very successful one for the HERA crew. Experiments (ZEUS and HI) collected more than 3pb~1 of the integrated luminosity compared to ()00nb~^ in the previous year. Higher luminosity means also higher rates and higher background. That created new problems for our experiment at the beginning of the running period. The common effort of all groups taking care of the different detector components resulted in a smooth and successful running of the ZEUS experiment. The main responsibility of the Cracow group is the reliable performance of the Luminosity Monitor, which has been designed and built by our group. That means the maintenance of the detector, continuous development of the online and offline software tools and the luminosity measurement itself. A very detailed offline analysis of the 1993 luminosity data was done in 1994. This resulted in much better understanding of the systematic effects influencing the luminosity measurement. The systematic error in the determination of the integrated luminosity is now below 2.5%. Modification of the hardware setup, especially replacement of the photomultipliers in the calorimeters, made during the 1993/1994 winter shutdown, allowed for more stable opera- tion in the 1994 running period. Much improvement has also been achieved in both offline and online software.

Неправильные глаголы. 1. Прочтите и переведите следующий текст. Moscow Moscow is the capital of Russia, its administrative, economic, political and educational centre. It is located on the river Moskva in the western region of Russia. It is one of Russia's major cities with the population of over 9 million people. Its total area is about 900 thousand square kilometers. Moscow is a unique city, its architecture combines the features of both Oriental and Western cultures. Today we are the witnesses of a new stage in Moscow’s life. Here more than anywhere else one can feel the atmosphere of all those changes which draw the attention of the whole world. The city was founded By Prince Yuri Dolgorukiy and was first mentioned in the chronicles in 1147. At that time it was a small frontier settlement. By the 15th century Moscow had grown into a wealthy city. In the 16th century, under Ivan the Terrible, Moscow became the capital of the state of Muscovy. In the 18th century Peter the Great transferred the capital to St. Petersburg, but Moscow remained the heart of Russia. That is why it became the main target of Napoleon's attack in 1812. During the war of 1812 three quarters of the city were destroyed by fire, but By the middle of the 19th century Moscow was completely rebuilt. The present-day Moscow is the seat of the government of the Russian Federation.
