Each year, Solsce partners with a select number of universies to create one-of-a-kind, fully customizable study experiences around the world. With careful guidance from Solsce’s team of American and internaonal educators, Virginia Tech RSAP students will gain invaluable insight into the ancient history and modern marvels of and .

Solsce provides three core services: (1) assistance in developing your program inerary; (2) comprehensive pre-departure support; and (3) facilitaon of all logiscal provisions (e.g., domesc and internaonal airfare, buses, hotel accommodaons, restaurant recommendaons and bookings, acvity planning, and Solsce program leaders).

Please note that while the spirit of the below schedule will remain unchanged, certain aspects — in consultaon with VT faculty leaders — are subject to be updated. Company and university visits are typically scheduled one to five months prior to the program start date. As a result, our proposal may include a few placeholders for unspecified visits. Each will be specified in the months leading up to May 2020, and this process will be completed in close collaboraon with Virginia Tech faculty leaders. Solsce maintains a strong track record of providing engaging and impacul visits to local firms, mulnaonal corporaons, local educaonal instuons, and more.

Day 5 | Thursday, May 21 ( Seoul) 9:00 AM Company visit to Hyundai Motor Factory Tour the producon lines and parcipate in a roundtable discussion with engineers at Hyundai’s 440 acre Asan Plant, where over 30,000 passenger vehicles are manufactured annually. 12:00 PM Enjoy a group lunch nearby 2:00 PM Experience K-pop culture at SMTOWN SMTOWN is the cultural complex of the SM Entertainment Company, Korea’s largest entertainment label and oen credited with sparking the K-pop wave that popularized Korean music and entertainment worldwide. 5:30 PM Small group dinners at the Gwangjang Market and free me to explore Seoul

Day 6 | Friday, May 22 ( Seoul) 9:00 AM Aend an engineering workshop at Hanyang University: “Discovering Korean Culture through GPS Devices” Deepen your knowledge of Korean history and society through a GPS scavenger hunt compeon. Prizes awarded! 12:00 PM Spend lunch at Hanyang University with local students 2:00 PM Company visit to a local engineering firm 6:00 PM Group dinner at a Hanok-style restaurant Originang in the 14th century, Hanok architecture emphasizes harmony between humans and nature. As customary, patrons dine on classical cuisine while seated on the floor around communal wooden tables.
