VIBE Dual Rated Marblehead / 10 Rater VIBE Dual Rated Marblehead / 10 Rater 2003 Built Vibe (for 2004 Nationals) by Jeff Byerly (his personal boat) Full Carbon Hull (870grams) Hull with electrics, 800 mAh Lipo, rudder etc (minus rigs, fin and keel) This weight is inline with current Marbleheads only some professional built boat lighter The hull shape is considered to still be a good hull shape (by Brad Gibson), but it’s perfectly capable of winning club races and has worked really well at interclub events especially Stirling and Paris Creek • 4 Byerley (designer and original owner) manufactured rigs (Mirage Sails/boat) A, B, C and C1 • A B and C Rigs have ball raced Head fittings • Ball Raced Trunk/Spigot Gooseneck main boom (all rigs use same main boom) • Wooden Hull Rack (not the metal one pictured) • Wooden Sail box with Corflute Sail Boards/dividers • RMG 290 Sailwinch (refurbished May 2019) • 2300 NiMH 5 cell AA pack (just to get you started) highly recommend going to lightweight lipos • 2 Rudders (original and a new Redant Shark fin) Redant fitted • Dual Certificate Marblehead AUS1024 and 10 Rater AUS724 (you need a 10rater specific sail cut to fully optimised be a 10 Rater) I used my Marblehead sails and got mid fleet results at the state titles till I had some radio issues It has been a good boat to me, and I have refitted it so it was lighter and more reliable when racing, It is a conventionally a rigged boat only (no swing rig, but can have one fitted if you have the patience and skills as the parts are easily obtainable) All the booms have been refitted to be lighter stiffer 8mm Carbon, and lower to the deck than old, the rigging windage has been reduced by removing unnecessary bowsies The pictures of the boat rigged is old, which shows the old spitfire wing rudder The booms and decks have been cleaned up and improved since them (the rig photo was from Sunday after I finished their updates) I do have an additional ballast lead which is long and thin (REDANT current shape and performance 3.4Kg) that I can add if you want it for additional $100 (which would help the performance of the boat) REDANT SELLS THEM FOR $125 I believe that $1100 for the boat as listed is fair (the winch alone is $300) If you want the bulb I would want to get at $100 extra to cover my costs Tony White See images, Certificates on subsequent pages.
