Colorado’s five-game win streak in the Nathan MacKinnon playoffs is the fifth such stretch for the franchise in the postseason. Quebec won six straight playoff games in 1987, and 3 points (2g/1a) the Avalanche won five straight in 1999 and had two five-game winning streaks in 1996. Second Star The Avalanche scored seven or more goals in a playoff game for the seventh time since moving to Denver. The Avalanche has Cale Makar scored five or more goals in four of its five games this season, the most 5+ goal performances of any team in the postseason. 4 points (1g/3a) Colorado’s four straight playoff games with 5+ goals is a franchise record. The Avs lead all playoff teams in goals for (27) and goals-per-game (5.40) and have also allowed a league-low 1.60 goals-per-game so far this postseason. Third Star Colorado is undefeated on home ice in the playoffs so far (3-0), and going back to the regular season the Avs have won Mikko Rantanen 12 straight at Ball Arena and are 19-0-1 in their last 20 contests on home ice. The club is one of three teams (Boston 2 points (1g/1a) and Winnipeg are the others) to have won all of its home postseason contests. The Avs got seven points (1g/6a) from defensemen tonight. Grubauer has 17 postseason wins as a member of the Avalanche, moving past Mario Gosselin (16) to take sole possession of second place all-time. Faceoffs: 57% Brandon Saad has scored a goal in four straight playoff games, extending his career best postseason goal streak. It’s the longest postseason goal streak by an Avalanche player since Gabriel Landeskog scored in four straight games from April 14-20, 2018. The only players in franchise history with a longer run in a playoff year are Claude Lemieux (seven games in 1997), Joe Sakic (seven games in 1996) and Michel Goulet (five games in 1985). Gabriel Landeskog extended his point streak to five games and registered his fourth multi-point outing this postseason, collecting 11 points (4g/7a) in the playoffs so far..
