Chicago Tribune has Worthy replacing Smith at the Doug Mohns goal at 27:18, which matches the times in the new NHL box score. Mohns' goal was Chicago's fourth. Per the Long Beach Smith 30m38s 14/21, Sneddon 29m22s 18/20 (L) (Smith Independent Press Telegram, Smith started this game, was pulled at 10:38 (with returns) the score 3-0 LA) and re-entereed the game at the start of the third period down 5- 2. Los Angeles won, 9-3, so the loss definitively goes to Sneddon. However, that definitively gives Sneddon three losses (his official NHL record has two). I'm looking for any evidence that the official record is correct (since I believe it is not). Sticker History This was the second O-Pee-Chee sticker series where the sticker backs were printed on more glossy cardboard stock than the thinner paper backings of the previous 7-8 years. There were 182 physical stickers in this set with 88 of those sharing a number with another sticker. The quality of the cut of the sticker seeemed to improve after they worked out all of the kinks from the 1987 O-Pee-Chee run. For the second year in a row, the traditional sticker package that had to be “ripped” open from their vaccuum package, was replaced by wax type packs that were only previously used to encase hockey cards. The sticker album from this year seemed to be made in abundance, whereas the stickers were a little harder to track down. This was the last year that Wayne Gretzky would appear in an Oilers jersey. O-Pee-Chee distributed these stickers out of London, Ontario in Canada. Sticker Facts The size of each full sticker is 5.4 cm X 7.6 cm (2.13 in X 3 in). There were 48 packages in each wax box which originally retailed for $0.30 CAD per pack. Each package contained 5 stickers. The minimum number of packages needed to make a full set (assuming absolutely no doubles) is 37. The original album ($0.59) cover featured Denis Savard.

    Dan Bouchard

    Dan Bouchard A member of the Sorel Black Hawks in 1968-69, Dan Bouchard guided his team to the 1969 Memorial Cup tournament before playing one season with the London Knights of the OHA-Jr league. After a two-year stint in the AHL where he was an AHL First Team All-Star with the Boston Braves and a one game stint in the CHL with the Oklahoma City Blazers, Bouchard was claimed by the fledgling Atlanta Flames where, after enduring the growth pains of expansion, he consistently won more games than he lost, year in and year out. Dan credits his longevity, which consisted of 14 NHL seasons, to some useful advice given by Frank Mahovlich. In Bouchard's first-ever NHL start, the Big M popped a slapper past the rookie netminder and while cruising past the net said, "One of many, kid. One of many!" Thanks to Big Frank, Bouchard learned to live with conceding goals while coveting victories. By 1981, Bouchard was traded to the Quebec Nordiques where he savoured many more wins in the company of a talent-laden squad that set new battle lines across the province of Quebec. The Montreal Canadiens had a serious rival on their hands and Bouchard was there to glove most of the bullets. Dan concluded his NHL career in 1986 with the Winnipeg Jets. From there, he played for three weeks in Switzerland before a serious knee injury put him on the shelf for good. After packing away his pads, Bouchard served as a goaltending coach for the Nordiques.
