Case studies

Quest project supporting young people into employment - Latchmere ward (completed 2015) The Quest Project was a two year pilot project to provide intensive employment support to young adults in Battersea. The service provided 1-2-1 and small group information, advice and guidance and assistance with accessing jobs and training opportunities. The WLF award was used to refurbish a highly-accessible shop unit in Bramlands Close, near Station. The location of the new office enabled easy access to the service for young people from across Battersea, most notably the adjacent Winstanley/York Road estates, which sit within the Latchmere Aspirations area, with good access also from the nearby Queenstown Culvert Road alleyway improvements - before and after Aspirations ward. The Quest service was merged into the council’s Wandsworth Culvert Road alleyway – Latchmere ward Workmatch Jobs Brokerage in March 2017.
