Shri Rajesh Ranjan, DG, CISF laid a wreath and paid tribute to the martyrs during Beating Retreat Ceremony at National Police Memorial, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi The National Police Memorial (NPM), Chanakyapuri, New Delhi was dedicated to the nation by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 21.10.2018 in recognition of the supreme sacrifice made by police personnel since independence. Band display and retreat ceremony are organized at National Police Memorial on all Saturdays and Sundays in the evening by the CAPFs/CPOs & Delhi Police. CISF was entrusted with the responsibility of organizing Band Display and Retreat Ceremony during the month of April, 2019. CISF Officers & Personnel performed Yoga at Rajpath, New Delhi Prior to yoga demonstration, CISF women commandos of CISF Unit DMRC trained in “Pekiti-Tirsia-Kali” (a Filipino Martial Art) showcased the self-defence techniques at Rajpath, New Delhi to generate awareness among masses, specially women. The gathering applauded the demonstration presented by the CISF women commando team.

Yoga demonstration was held in the forecourt of the historic “Gate Way of India” in Mumbai, wherein renowned film actress Ms Shilpa Shetty Kundra led the yoga celebration. The event was also attended by Shri Haribhau Bagde, Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Shri Sanjay Bhatia, Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust and other renowned guests. Shri B N Bhattacharya, IG (NES) inaugurated 4th Skill Development Centre at CISF Unit IOCL Bongaigaon On 08.06.2019, 4th CISF Skill Development Centre was established at CISF Unit IOCL Bongaigaon, Assam. In a APRIL-JUNE 2019 APRIL-JUNE function, Shri B N Bhattacharya, Inspector General (NES) inaugurated the centre in presence of senior officers of CISF & personnel. The Skill Development Centre is functioning with the cooperation of TBL Education (Training Partner) and IOCL Bongaigaon Management. At this centre, skill training on ‘Yoga Instructor’ is being imparted to the candidates. “Special Basic Mountaineering Course” for CISF Mountaineering Expedition : 2020

Shri Rajesh Ranjan, DG, CISF along with Shri Alok Kumar Pateria, ADG (HQrs) & Shri Sudhir Kumar, IG (NCR) with the team of “Special Basic Mountaineering Course” at Kullu Manali, HP CISF is preparing for a Mountaineering Expedition to scale Mount Everest in the year 2020. A group of 30 CISF officers & personnel (including six (06) women personnel) were detailed to undergo “Special Basic APRIL-JUNE 2019 APRIL-JUNE Mountaineering Course” at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports at Kullu Manali (Himachal Pradesh) from 15.04.2019 to 10.05.2019. 12 Fire Service Week (14.04.2019 to 20.04.2019) Fire Service Week was observed in all 102 Units of CISF in a befitting manner to inculcate the fire safety awareness amongst the employees of PSUs and the residents of the township. Following programmes were organized:-- • Lectures/Classes on First Aid, Firefighting in schools & residential township. • Quiz competition on First-Aid & Fire Safety. • Elementary Firefighting training was given to the students and family members. • Firefighting & Rescue Demonstrations. • Fire Safety awareness rally.

On the occasion, Smt. Ranjeeta Rajan, President ‘Sanrakshika’ was the Chief Guest. During the function, “English Bolo” programme for wives & daughters of CISF personnel was launched by President “Sanrakshika”. Different dance and acts were presented by the wards of CISF personnel on the occasion. At the end, President “Sanrakshika” presented the gifts/prizes to the participants. During her visit to NTPC Dadri, President “Sanrakshika” interacted with active members of ‘Sanrakshika’ of NTPC, Dadri. A guest house ‘Nakshatra’ for CISF personnel & their families was also Smt. Ranjeeta Ranjan, President “Sanrakshika” lighted the lamp and inaugurated by President “Sanrakshika” on inaugurated the programme the occasion.
