History

The quartet first became a band in 2011 when Lukens romantic relationship with Ewald’s twin sister caused the two to meet. The two became friends and started to exchange music. After Lukens and his girlfriend split up, he and Ewald decided to start writing music together. They named themselves Modern Baseball after a book that Ewalds father owned entitled Modern Baseball Techniques. Farmer, close friends with Ewald joined the band next. After being asked to fill in for a show, Farmer liked playing with the band so much that he stuck with it. Huber joined the band when, while hanging out in his van after the Stay Sweet Festival, he was approached to play drums for an upcoming tour. Thinking it was a cool idea, he agreed to tour with the band, and not too long after that he became the official drummer for the band.
