Through Moscow an extensive program of exhibitions, events and education, research and publishing, the institution reflects on current developments in Russian and international culture, creating opportunities for public dialogue as well as the production of new work and ideas in Moscow. At the center of all of these activities is the Museum’s collection, which is the first archive in the country related to the development of Russian contemporary art from the 1950’s through the present. Founded in 2008 by Dasha Zhukova, Garage is the first philanthropic organization in Russia to create a comprehensive public mandate for contemporary art and culture. Open seven days a week, it was initially housed in the renowned Bakhmetevsky Bus Garage in Moscow, designed by the Constructivist architect Konstantin Melnikov. In 2012 Garage relocated to a temporary pavilion in Gorky Park, specifically commissioned from an award winning architect Shigeru Ban. A year later, a purpose built Education Center was opened next to the pavilion. In June 2015, Garage moved to its first permanent home - a groundbreaking preservation project by Rem Koolhaas - that transforms the famous 1968 Vremena Goda (Seasons of the Year) Soviet Modernist restaurant in Gorky Park into a contem- porary museum. Words by Harriet QUICK A “I wanted to burst the frame of the traditional 2D fashion image, GAR GE Magazine where the world is a mere backdrop,” says maverick image maker Norbert SCHOERNER. “I placed Emily Rose FIANDER in a 360- degree sphere that she could engage with spatially. The aim was to create a textural, environmental piece with which we can interact on a visceral basis, rather than merely record her beauty.” Schoerner’s piece is, perhaps, the first 360-degree editorial ever made.

Through investigation of the elements of performance art, as well as its functions and characteristics, this study intends to determine how modern haute couture fashion shows relate to performance art and can operate under the definition of performance art. iii ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I would like to thank my committee––James Slowiak, Sandra Stansbery Buckland and Lisa Lazar for their time during the completion of this thesis. It is something that could not have been accomplished without your help. A special thank you to my loving family and friends for their constant support

  • Fashion's Autumn/Winter 2014 Ad Campaigns | Financial Times
04/01/2020, 10:22 Page 1 of 1 Luxury goods Add to myFT Fashion’s autumn/winter 2014 ad campaigns A deconstruction of the industry’s ads for the season reveals a sombre economic mood Share Save David Hayes AUGUST 8 2014 Hemlines may once have been a cute way of monitoring the state of the economy – rather aptly, they are all over the place these days – but nothing gives a snapshot of global hard-currency health better than a flick through the September issues of the world’s glossiest fashion magazines. Landing on newsstands with a reassuringly weighty thud early this month, the current edition of US Vogue has more advertising than any other American fashion or lifestyle magazine, with a whopping 631 ad pages. Yet it is still down 4.5 per cent on last year’s Lady Gaga extravaganza of 665 pages – which in turn was down on the magazine’s peak of 727 pages of ads in 2007. The luxury sector may not have turned an economic corner – yet. And in fashion terms the mood is not exactly upbeat, either: think brown and black set against brutalist concrete architecture (Prada); corseted women hanging around in a drab hotel suite (Dior); and models trapped in a surrealist crazy golf course from hell, wearing equally disturbing knitwear (Kenzo). Yes, advertising matters, not only as a barometer of the spending trends of the fashion world, but also as a tone-setting exercise. The following images are how fashion should look this autumn/winter, straight from the designer’s eye, so take note.

  • Vogue Italia Di Settembre: Le 100 Copertine
Instagram star come Emily Ratajkowski e Paloma Elsesser.

  • L'uomo Spostato a Settembre?
EDITORIALE L’UOMO SPOSTATO A SETTEMBRE?
