Wagon Wheel Rivalry The Wagon Wheel Game between Taylor and Anderson stands as one of the greatest traditions in the 70-year history of the TU Football program. The two sides have met on the gridiron a total of 65 times, with the Ravens holding a 37-26-2 margin in the series. The fi rst game in the all-time series between the two schools was a 31- 12 Taylor win at AU on October 19, 1949 in TU’s second season and the series was haulted following the Trojans’ 51-10 win in Upland on September 5, 2015. The teams started playing for the cherished Wagon Wheel during the 1990 season, with the Ravens winning the fi rst four and six of the fi rst seven. The Purple and Gold dominated the series in recent years however, winning each of the fi nal eight contests to take a 14-12 edge in the Wagon Wheel Game. Taylor has not faced a defi cit against Anderson since the 2008 contest and outscored the Orange and Black by a 210-27 gap over the fi nal four meetings.
