Guerrilla Grindhouse World Tour 02 Asukaru Satte, Saitama 18 Oct 2013
DEFIANCE Wrestling: Guerrilla Grindhouse World Tour 02 Asukaru Satte, Saitama 18 Oct 2013 The DARK Knight Returns *Mascara De Muerta IV vs Diego de Leon Diego and Mascara start their match with a handshake and nods of respect in the middle of the ring. The two luchadors started the bout with a contest of speeds that saw Mascara edging Diego with experience and an advantage. Mascara took control immediately and started laying into Diego with slaps and chops. Mascara threw Diego to the ropes and ran in with a knee to the stomach that stunned Diego. Mascara took advantage of his momentum and brought Diego down with a single leg takedown and when Diego sat upright, Mascara is already on his feet and kicks him square in his chest to lay him back down. Mascara follows up with a standing moonsault into a pin and the Japanese audience erupts into applause. 1… 2... Kick out. Mascara drags Diego to his feet and starts to hit Diego with a barrage of slaps and chops to the chest. Diego counters a slap with one of his own and starts adding low kicks to the lower thigh of Mascara. Diego unleashes a combination of kicks to the thigh with a spinning backfist that draws an “Ahhhhww” reaction from the Japanese crowd while throwing off the ropes. The two meet, per say in the ring with Diego attempting a baseball slide and Mascara effortlessly front flipping over him. The Japanese audience reacts with applause as the two stare and give approving nods of respect to one another. -

Cappadocia Wildlife Tour Report Turkey Botanical Birdwatching
Hatay to Cappadocia Flowers, Birds & Ancient Sites of Turkey A Greentours Trip Report 12th to 23rd May 2012 Led by Seda Soylu and Phil Benstead The following report is from the itinerary we did in 2012. The 2013 tour differs in that instead of visiting the Hatay region in 2013 we’ll be starting the tour in Konya and Kulu Golu in the centre of Anatolia and the rest of the tour will be done in reverse of the 2012 order. So the most relevant days are days 5-12 in this report, and these correspond to days 4-11 (but in reverse order!) in the 2013 itinerary. Daily report written by Phil Benstead and Seda Soylu Day 1 Saturday 12th May arrival We all converged on the airport at Istanbul by different routes, negotiating the visa buying process and the march across to the domestic terminal. The deciding game between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Championship took place in Istanbul during the evening and even the airport departure area was caught up in the excitement. Very atmospheric. We eventually all met up at the gate for our late night onward flight and then dozed through the short journey to Hatay and were soon being met by a smiling Seda and whisked off in the minibus to the hotel. Day 2 Sunday 13th May the road to Yayladağı A leisurely start to the day was required this morning after the late (early?) arrival at the hotel last night. Breakfasted we headed for the van and drove south towards Syria on the road to Yayladağ ı. -

Fall 2019 Pegasus Books
PEGASUS BOOKS FALL 2019 PEGASUS BOOKS FALL 2019 NEW HARDCOVERS THE KING’S WAR The Friendship of George VI and Lionel Logue During World War II Peter Conradi and Mark Logue Following the New York Times bestselling The King’s Speech, this eagerly anticipated sequel takes King George VI and his speech therapist Lionel Logue into the darkest days of World War II. The broadcast that George VI made to the British nation on the outbreak of war in September 1939—which formed the climax of the multi-Oscar-winning film The King’s Speech—was the product of years of hard work with Lionel Logue, his iconoclastic, Australian- born speech therapist. Yet the relationship between the two men did not end there. Far from it: in the years that followed, Logue was to play an even more important role at the monarch’s side. The King’s War follows that relationship through the dangerous days of Dunkirk and the drama of D-Day to eventual victory in 1945—and beyond. Like the first book, it is written by Peter Con- radi, a London Sunday Times journalist, and Mark Logue, Lionel’s grandson, and again draws on exclusive material from the Logue Archive—the collection of diaries, letters, and other documents left by Lionel and his feisty wife, Myrtle. This gripping narrative provides a fascinating portrait of two men and their respective families—the Windsors and the Logues—as they together face the greatest chal- lenge in Britain’s history. PETER CONRADI is an journalist with the London Sunday Times. -

DEFIANCE Wrestling: Untouchable 2013 Mellon Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 14 Apr 2013 Handcuffed! [Yesterday.] [...] [Welcome to Arkham Gift Shoppe. Where, on this very special day... 13 of the biggest and brightest stars are here to sign autographs for some very excited fans.] [Each star or group has their own private booth lined with merch that consists of the following: videos, 8x10 photos, t- shirts, and replica ring gear.] [But we’re here to focus on one special booth, the Mike Sloan Xperiance. At this very moment there is a line that consists of fifteen or so fans who really want to help out St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. But more so they want to witness the animosity between Luke and Curt . ] [They are handcuffed together; it’s a team bonding method that has been installed by their manager. It really hasn’t been working to any degree of success. Luke Windham is right handed; Curt has his left hand cuffed to Luke’s right hand. Today, Curt’s little prank has been to snatch Luke’s right hand mid-way through the autograph. ] [A defiant little shit, isn’t he?] [Tyson has had to babysit the duo all morning, and at this moment he has stepped away from the booth to grab a cold bottle of Dasani and to check in with Mike Sloan.] Sloan: (chewing on a red licorice whip) How are they acting? [He uses the dry end to point at the cow hand and the MMA artist.] Burke: Curt’s being a dick. Luke his trying to hold it together, but he’s contemplating driving Curt’s head through the table and leaving him out cold. -

Indo-Pacific Strategy Report
This page left intentionally blank THE DEPARMENT OF DEFENSE Indo-Pacific Strategy Report Preparedness, Partnerships, and Promoting a Networked Region June 1, 2019 The estimated cost of this report or study for the Department of Defense is approximately $128,000 for the 2019 Fiscal Year. This includes $18,000 in expenses and $110,000 in DoD labor. Generated on 2019June01 RefID: 0-1C9F36A MESSAGE FROM THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE he Indo-Pacific is the Department of Defense’s priority theater. The United States is a Pacific nation; we are linked to our Indo-Pacific neighbors through unbreakable bonds of shared history, culture, commerce, and T values. We have an enduring commitment to uphold a free and open Indo- Pacific in which all nations, large and small, are secure in their sovereignty and able to pursue economic growth consistent with accepted international rules, norms, and principles of fair competition. The continuity of our shared strategic vision is uninterrupted despite an increasingly complex security environment. Inter-state strategic competition, defined by geopolitical rivalry between free and repressive world order visions, is the primary concern for U.S. national security. In particular, the People’s Republic of China, under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, seeks to reorder the region to its advantage by leveraging military modernization, influence operations, and predatory economics to coerce other nations. In contrast, the Department of Defense supports choices that promote long-term peace and prosperity for all in the Indo-Pacific. We will not accept policies or actions that threaten or undermine the rules-based international order – an order that benefits all nations. -
