Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers Announces Medical Records Transfer and Maintenance Programs Finalized Patients Continue to Have Access to All Medical Records

New York, September 19, 2011 -- Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers announces the transfer and maintenance of all medical records to Iron Mountain, Inc. (“Iron Mountain”) and MetalQuest, Inc. in order to preserve future access by former patients.

In April 2010, Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York (“SVCMC”) closed its Manhattan Hospital inpatient services and either closed or transferred all of the related outpatient clinics and services.

With the approval of the United States Bankruptcy Court overseeing SVCMC's bankruptcy case and the regulatory agencies overseeing the hospital closure, SVCMC is in the process of transferring all medical records in its possession to third party vendors, including Iron Mountain, Inc. (“Iron Mountain”) and MetalQuest, Inc., in order to preserve future access by former patients. All records will be maintained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

All requests for records should be directed to Iron Mountain, the lead third party vendor, which will serve as the coordinator for all requests. Iron Mountain can also assist by providing information about the location of medical records of patients of former SVCMC facilities which have been transferred to new sponsors.
