Forum Participants are especially welcomed to visit: < the stands of DG Environment (stand # 7) and IETU/ENVITECH-Net (stand #4) located in the Exhibition Hall 3 < Poster session “Science for the Environment” organised also in Exhibition Hall 3, by the ENVITECH-Net stand, where the scientific accomplishments of the Polish research organisations dedicated to environmental technologies are at display. The Poster Session is accompanied by a seminar at ENVITECH-Net stand scheduled for Thursday, 23rd November during which short presentations will be given by the authors of the posters. By taxi: It takes min 20- max 40 minutes to get to the airport (depending on the traffic), average taxi rate approx. 10-12 Euro (35-40 PLN). If you wish to pay with your credit card you can use the following radio-taxi company: LUX TAXI, phone number 9662, do not forget to dial +48 61 before the taxi number when you call from your mobile, if you dial from a local phone, dial 061 before the taxi number. By public transport: Take the airport express bus line “L” from the Central Railway Station. The bus stops are at just in front of the main entrance of the Station. ( one bus per hour, fair 5,20 PLN i.e. ca. 1,5 Euro) consult the time schedule in advance. How to get from POLEKO to the Poznan city center by tram If you with to visit the Poznan old town, take a tram. The tram stops are just in front of the West Entrance/ of the Poznan International Fair. There is a number of trams going in the direction of the City Center, however the most convenient to bring you in the vicinity of the Old Town is Tram # 5. Get off at MARCINKOWSKIEGO stop. Tickets can be bought in KIOSKs. Buy a 10-minute ticket ( 2, 60 PLN ca 0,75 Euro), it is sufficient to bring you to the Center. Tickets must be punched at the tram. Effective environmental protection in line with the principle of sustainable development requires access to the best possible solutions both in terms of their technological advnacement and environmental performance. The Poznañ First European Forum on Eco-Innovation International Fair has been promoting such solutions for eighteen years organising the International Ecological Fair POLEKO each year in November. Our mission is to contribute to increase of the competitiveness of Polish economy Financing Eco-Innovation while taking care of the future of our natural environment. 21-22 November 2006, POLEKO 2006, Poznañ, Each year, POLEKO, the largest environmental protection trade show in Central and Eastern Europe, attracts over one thousand companies from all over the world and tens of thousands of experts to Poznañ. Modern solutions are presented both as expositions of exhibitors who showcase their eco-innovative products and technologies at stands and during specialist conferences and seminars that accompany the fair. This year's European Forum on EcoInnovation “Financing EcoInnovation” belongs to the most important events accompanying POLEKO. The significance of POLEKO in the international transfer of innovations has been confirmed by a high percentage of foreign exhibitors and by the presence of numerous official foreign national presentations. With its mission to integrate applied research on environmental technologies and the needs of industry to build a sustainable future, ENVITECH-Net has an ambition to become a European network of research centres supporting the implementation of ETAP from the scientific perspective. Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas (IETU) in Katowice, Poland is an R&D unit acting under the Polish Ministry of Environment. IETU has been involved in activities stimulating eco-innovation such as ENVITECH-Net , the Polish Platform of Environmental Technologies and the Competition “ Leader of Polish Ecology”
