Who better to give everyone a morning jolt of inspiration than former Norway High School baseball coach Kent Stock. Norway baseball is legendary in the state of Iowa and Stock had the honor of coaching this infamous team in their Michael Gerdin final season. Clouded in the emotional turmoil that is always prevalent Heartland Express, Inc. when a community is forced into a school merger, this first-year coach faced almost unfathomable challenges from the first pitch. But like many great stories, this story ends on such a powerful and positive note that even those who don’t like baseball will stand up and cheer.
