Det er et jubilæumsår for ROBERT PRISEN, og med i alt 16 spillefilm i kapløbet om de mange ROBERT-statuetter, vidner det om et filmår med alsidighed og kvalitet. Der er meget at hylde og fejre i dansk film og tv! Med 14 nomineringer er både Thomas Vinterbergs Jagten og Mikkel Nørgaards Kvinden i buret flot repræsenteret, men konkurrencen er hård fra Christoffer Boes Spies & Glistrup, Michael Noers Nordvest, Nils Malmros’ Sorg og glæde, Nicolas Winding Refns Only God Forgives og Ask Hasselbalchs Antboy, der alle ligger lunt i svinget til at kunne bringe mange statuetter hjem. Årets danske film skal findes blandt Jagten, Kvinden i buret, Nordvest, Sorg og glæde og Spies & Glistrup, mens årets instruktør skal findes mellem Michael Noer, Mikkel Nørgaard, Nicolas Winding Refn, Nils Malmros og Thomas Vinterberg. Slaget om årets børne- og ungdomsfilm står mellem Antboy, MGP Missionen, Nordvest, Olsenbanden på dybt vand og Otto er et næsehorn. For første gang i Akademiets historie er to spillefilmsdebuterende brødre nomineret hhv. i kategorierne årets mandlige hovedrolle; Gustav Dyekjær Giese og årets mandlige birolle; Oscar Dyekjær Giese – begge for filmen Nordvest. We Danes can get a little smug sometimes. Maybe it’s part of being from a small country. We’re so proud when someone does well. It rubs off on everyone. We all feel a little bigger, a little more important. When Noma, for the second year running, is crowned as the best restaurant in the world. When Copenhagen is named the coolest city on Earth. When the TV series The Killing beats Mad Men in Britain. When Susanne Bier wins an Oscar and there is a Danish imprint on at least half a dozen films this year at Cannes, we just can’t seem to stop 05 14 16 cheering. We quickly start believing that we have the world’s most creative film industry, the most visionary politicians, the smartest film institute – and the world’s best Film Act! Nothing less will do. But can Danish film keep doing so well? A favourite pastime of the Danish media is regularly proclaiming a crisis in Danish film. NOW the party is over!
