 The Organization Committee of the Hagi Taishou(Grand Prix) will hold the International Contemporary Ceramic Competition. Ceramic Art is one of the important cultural resources in the . We hope this competition will lead to the more development in Ceramic Art and we look forward to your creative work.  The Application Outline 1. Prizes ࣭The grand prize of HAGI Taishou( Grand Prix ) with a value of 1,000,000 JPY. - The works that win a grand prize will be authorized to committee. - The Prizewinner shall be authorized to have an individual exhibition at the Hagi Uragami Museum after 2021. ࣭The Art Museum prize with a value of 200,000 JPY. ࣭The excellence prize with a value of 50,000 JPY for three works. ࣭The prize of the Judges for some works. ࣭The prize of fine work for some works.

2.The qualification of application: Disregard : Application can be made in Japanese or English. ͤ In the 2nd Jury, ceramists who are not residents in Japan, need to have deputies who are residents in Japan.

3.The number of the works: one or two works per a ceramist

4. The standard (rule) of the competition a, The total extent of the height + width + depths must be within 120cm with the longest side is within 100cm. b, Ceramic works must be originals. Any copies will be not admitted. c, Prepare every goods for transportation of goods and any fitting and fixtures to the exhibition is your responsibility. d, The works which pass the 2 nd Jury will be exhibited at the Hagi Grand Prix of Contemporary Ceramic Ϭ in the Hagi Uragami Museum. The committee shall hold the copyright to submitted works. The committee may utilize the copyright for the following purpose: publicity for this exhibition(ex. On the committee website, in brochures about the Hagi Uragami Museum,etc.) and any other business of the Hagi Uragami Museum.

5. The time for 1st application (Limited to an Online acceptance) a, The time for application : 24 June, 2019- 26 July, 2019ࠝuntil Japan time 17:00 ࠞ b, The fee of application is free. c, Please download an application format from the homepage of the Hagi Uragami Museum(http://www.hum.pref.yamaguchi.lg.jp), and please send us the e-mail with your application and the below title ”application of the Hagi Grand Prix of Contemporary Ceramic Ϭ”.

(Resolution : Around 72 dpi , The number of pixels : Around 700×700 pixel) ͤ Because you may not be accepted if the image size is too big on the Online application, so please be careful. d, We will return you an E-mail when we accept your application. If you receive no reply after a week from your application, please call to Hagi Uragami Museum. e, The result of 1st application will be sent to you by e-mail between 5- 9 August, 2019.

6. The time for 2nd application: ձLimiting and fee: a, Limited to the works which passed the1st application b, Fee for 2nd application : 1 work 3,000 Japanese yen, 2 works 5,000 Japanese yen -Please pay an application fee to below account between 13- 30 August, 2019 on Japan time. -Once the paid money for the application fee has been made there can be no refund. In addition, an overseas resident pay the fee through your deputy of residence in Japan, and must fill in a communication column with a full name of an applicant, please.

7. The 2nd Jury will be opened to public hearing ࣭Date and Time:8 September,2019 time 10:00 㸫13:00 ࣭Question and Answer Time: 8 September,2019 time 13:00 㸫14:00 ࣭Place: Hagi Uragami Museum. ࣭This Jury will be made up of three members. 9. Insurance ࣭The works must be insured up to their arrival at Hagi Uragami Museum. ࣭The committee provides a surveillance service night and day, besides will be joined to provision compensation for damages liability insurance compensation for 2nd application works upto 300,000JPY per work, but this not include responsibility for damage resulting from cases of force majeure, loss or damages during delivery. ࣭We promise that we will use your personal information only in the Hagi Taishou (Grand Prix ) of Contemporary Ceramic Ϭ. The works that are easily broken will be rejected. Even in the case of delivery service, they will be returned to the sender at their expense. ࣭Entrants are responsible for sending works to the designated address at their own expense. Each package must imperatively contain a list of the works. The committee of the Hagi Grand Prix is not responsible for any damage to works during transportation. ࣭ For the damage before the works acception, the committee does not have any responsibility them.
