This Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan looks at the hazards facing the City of Medford and defines the vulnerability of people and property to those hazards. The Plan then identifies a set of actions or mitigation measures that may be taken pro-actively to reduce the impact of natural disasters on the people and resources of the community. The plan’s overarching mission and purpose is to protect people, property and the environment from the impact of natural disasters. Project staff identified four goals whose achievement would fulfill this mission: Prevention; Enhancing Emergency Services; Promoting Public Awareness; and Forming Private-Public Sector Partnerships
