We are seeking a Sous Chef to work within the The Dining Hall at Wedgwood located at the World of Wedgwood, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent. Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will supervise the production and service of food, ensuring delivery of excellent standards of food preparation and presentation for customer/visitor satisfaction. The successful candidate will: • have previous experience of working with fresh food in a busy kitchen • be focused on delivering excellent customer service standards • be fully conversant with and be able to implement the required standards of food hygiene • have the ability to work well in a team and to communicate effectively • have an awareness of gross profit and assist the Head Chef to improve this to drive profitability • previous supervisory experience is desirable This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, to include weekends on a rota basis.
