Playing rules will be those recognized by HEO Minor (Hockey Eastern Ontario Minor), except as noted. 2. Neckguards & Mouthguards: Players are required to wear mouthguards & neckguards for all tournament games if their own district requires that they do in league play. 3. Game Length: a. Periods and running times to be used: i) Round Robin, Quarterfinals & Semi-finals : Games will consist of 1 x 12 and 2 x 15 minute stop-time periods. There will be a flood after every two periods of play (eg. After 2nd period in Game 1, after 1st in Game 2, etc.) ii) Championship Game: Games will consist of 2 x 15 and 1 x 20 minute stop-time periods. There will be a flood after the 2nd period. In the event of a slowly played game, the final period may be switched to straight time at the discretion of the tournament coordinator or a designate after notifying both teams. The tournament committee reserves the right to impose a running clock on Round-Robin or Playoff games as well, in the case of an extended injury or other prolonged delay b. Warm-ups will be 3 minutes in length starting when the Zamboni has left the ice (5 minutes during semi-final and championship games). c. After intermissions (mid-game floods) teams should go directly to their bench - no warm-up is permitted at this time.
