Disposal of Dredged Material Engagement Log Summary
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to outline the key discussion points from consultation with stakeholders regarding responsible disposal of dredged material.
Overview
Consultation began with specific stakeholders in July, 2018. This engagement include a letter and information booklet, stating our intentions and encouraging feedback. In the first instance, our consultation focussed on Iwi, Hapu and Maori Organisations with interests ranging from Whangarei to the Bay of Plenty. This was then broadened to include those with fishing interests in, or near the proposed disposal site, as well as regional councils in the specified region.
