WEEKLY BULLETIN 27Th March 2015 RICHARD LANDER SCHOOL WEEKLY BULLETIN 27th March 2015 Dear Parents, Congratulations this week to the Carrick Dance performers and to the Year 8 rugby team. The Carrick Dance performance at the Hall for Cornwall was a terrific evening. This is an annual celebration of dance from across the primary and secondary age range and involves Richard Lander, Penair, The Roseland, Penryn, Falmouth, Pencalenick Schools and their primary feeder schools. The dance is of the highest standard and the audience were superb in supporting all acts. My thanks to Ms Meek for leading on the school’s performances, with choreographing from Samantha Taylor, Lisa Ann McNally and Taylor-Sian Paciuszko. The Year 8 boys’ rugby team continued their unbeaten run against other Cornish schools to 2 years and this week won the Cornwall Schools 7s competition which was held at Penair School. Well done to all the boys involved and to Mr Williamson who leads our very successful Year 8 team. This Friday, Jacob Moran and Oli Pritchard had the dubious privilege of becoming Headteacher for the day! In a recent charity auction, they paid to take on this responsibility and planned a range of activities for the day which went very well. I hope they learnt from the experience – I certainly learnt from their example!
