10:15-12:45 Campus Tours (Sign up in Wilkins Theater info table) Times: 11:00, 11:30, 11:45, and 12:00

10:00 - 4:30 The Nancy Thompson Library – The library on campus contains over 30,000 books and will be open to visitors who should also stop by the new Human Rights Center. The Library and Starbucks will be open at 8am.

10:00 – 2:30 Liberty Hall – (Trolley Stop outside of Wilkins Theater) This museum is the original home of , a signer of the Constitution, and via marriage the prominent Kean family for over two hundred years of American history. The house contains collections of the Livingston and Kean families. Free to NHD students, teachers & families

10:00– 2:30 Lunch. Residence Dining Hall - The dining hall is located behind University Center. $10.25 There is also a café at Barnes and Noble on campus in the GLAB (Green Lane Art Building) corner of Morris Ave and Green Lane. Students who bring their lunch may use Downs Hall for their break.

1:30 – 2:30* Exhibits – Downs Hall. At this time, the exhibits will be on display for everyone to see. *Note – Public viewing will open only after all judging is complete.

3:00-4:00 Closing Ceremonies (Wilkins Theater) - Announcement of qualifiers for the state competition to be held at William Paterson University in May.

Thank you for entering the competition. Please read the following directions carefully. Parking: Buses may drop off in front of Wilkins Theater and then will need to park in the designated parking lot (across Morris Avenue). Cars need to park in the Vaugh Eames Parking Lot.

The program and schedule have been sent to you in advance, but hard copies are available at the Information Table in the Wilkins Theatre Auditorium Lobby if you have questions. The Welcome Ceremony and Awards ceremony are in the Wilkins Auditorium.

All students must report and sign-in to the room to which they are assigned between 8:00am – 8:45am. A Room Schedule Sheet will be posted at each room. Students are to sign in on this sheet to indicate attendance.

The Welcome Ceremony will begin in the Wilkins Theater at 9:00 a.m. Please be on time. Awards will be presented at 3:00 pm in Wilkins Theater. There will be opportunities during the day to see what other students have done.

There will be a trolley running from Wilkins Theater to Liberty Hall Museum across the street. Please make sure to take advantage of this opportunity. There will also be tours of the campus. Sign up is at University Center. Do not cross Morris Ave. on foot as it is a dangerous and extremely busy road.

INSTRUCTIONS: Exhibits: Setup will be between 8-8:45 in Downs Hall. Find your exhibit number when you arrive and when you are completed with setup, you may leave; your project will be checked in. Reminder: all projects must be set up by students. NO TEACHERS OR PARENTS ARE ALLOWED IN WHILE THE STUDENTS ARE SETTING UP; THIS IS GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION. The exhibits may be left up until after the awards ceremony.

Documentaries: Each room will be equipped with an LCD projector and laptop connection. You will need to set-up and run the equipment yourself. Please find your room and sign by your name that you are here. All rooms are Smart Rooms, but please be prepared with a laptop and both HDMI and VGA connections. Depending on the room, there may be one or both available. Please do not rely on having Wi-Fi; there will be a guest network available but we cannot guarantee reliability.

Performances: If it is necessary to prepare for your performance, arrive at the contest site between 8:00 and 8:30am. Please find your room and sign in by your name. Props may be stored backstage but please be reminded we are not responsible to any damage done to personal property left unattended.

Please remind all students, parent and chaperones that the public are able to enter and view the performances and documentaries, but once the judges begin each session, no one will be allowed to walk in or out of the room and all viewers must remain silent during the session.

Papers and Website: Since the judges already judged your paper or website, you only need to be present at the awards ceremony at 3:00.

All entries (except papers and websites) will need to arrive at the designated location 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.

With that in mind we do encourage students to attend all ceremonies and view other projects throughout the day.
