Itinerary Transfer to Boston. Board your overnight flight, tour begins the next day.

Day 1 - 25 APRIL (Sat) - Arrival Paris, France - - Lisieux Welcome to the "City of Light!" Upon your arrival in Paris, meet your Tour Director for a group transfer to Rouen, the capital of Upper Normandy. Rouen is an important commercial city perhaps best known for its connection to , who lived, was imprisoned, and burned at the stake in the marketplace of this town in 1431. Enjoy the included GUIDED WALK through the medieval quarter with its half-timbered, glazed-tile houses, and take your pictures of the Gros Horloge, an intricate astronomical clock dating back to the 16th century. Visit the gothic CATHEDRAL, which was once the tallest building in the world and the subject of a series of paintings by Claude Monet. We then travel to Bec-Hellouin where we will visit the ABBAYE NOTRE-DAME DU BEC, founded in 1034 by Herluin, knight of Count Gilbert de Brionne. Enjoy evening vespers sung by Benedictine Monks. Arrive in Lisieux for your overnight. Tonight, join your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome dinner at the hotel. (D)

Day 2 - 26 APRIL (Sun) - Lisieux - This morning, enjoy Mass at St. Terese before a guided tour of Lisieux including Carmel and the Tomb of Terese. Depart for Caen where you will see the ABBAYE AUX HOMES and the ABBEY AUX FEMME followed by the fascinating MEMORIAL MUSEUM FOR PEACE with its great exhibits and audiovisual show about the Battle of Normandy. Day 3 - 27 APRIL (Mon) - Caen - Excursion to Normandy Landing Beaches Today we focus on the scene of the Allied Forces' landing on D-Day, June 6th, 1944. Drive by Juno Beach, then stop at Gold Beach for a view of the Mulberry Harbor remains at Arromanches. Finally, arrive at the visitor center at Omaha Beach for a visit to the AMERICAN CEMETERY and where St. Anne's Choir will perform a concert honoring lives lost. Return to Caen. (B)

Day 4 - 28 APRIL (Tue) - Caen - Bayeaux - Excursion to Mont St. Michel Our first stop this morning is to , where you can admire QUEEN MATILDA'S TAPESTRY, depicting in extraordinary detail William the Conqueror's conquest of England. Then, enjoy the landscapes of the Normandy region on a guided excursion to 11th-century MONT SAINT MICHEL ABBEY, located on a rocky island in an immense bay with the highest tides in Europe. The first small church was built and consecrated here in 709 at the request of the Archangel Michel to the Bishop of Avranches. During the , it became a great spiritual and intellectual center, and was one of the most important places of pilgrimage for nearly one thousand years. People traveled to the abbey by roads called "paths to paradise," hoping for the assurance of eternity. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant that faces the island and time to stroll around the village before returning to Caen. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - 29 APRIL (Wed) - Caen - Chartres - Paris Stop in Chartres with its superb 13th-century gothic CATHEDRAL—a jewel of medieval architecture, and arrive in Paris. Afternoon sightseeing features the highlights of Paris, like the Arc de Triomphe, Opera, Madeleine, and Champs-Elysées. Tonight, enjoy DINNER at a local restaurant. (B,D) April 25 - May 2, 2015

Day 6 - 30 APRIL (Thur) - Paris Start your day by visiting NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL, a magnificent Gothic cathedral located on Tie de la Cite, a small island in the heart of the city. This stunning cathedral was among the first structures in the world to use flying buttresses, arched exterior supports. It is one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. Here, St. Anne's Choir will perform a concert for the other visitors. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Perhaps a visit to the Louvre or maybe the Latin Quarter? (B)

Day 7 -1 MAY (Fri) - Paris A full day at leisure to immerse yourself in this fascinating city. Your Tour Director has many recommendations for you, such as excursions to Louis XIV's Palace of Versailles, WWI's Somme battlefields, Fontainebleau Castle, or the castles of the Loire Valley. You might be interested in a trip to Monet's Giverny, the Picasso Museum, Centre Pompidou, or Victor Hugo's home—the possibilities are endless! Tonight, enjoy a FAREWELL DINNER at the hotel to celebrate the success of your trip. (B,D)

Day 8 - 2 MAY (Sat) - Paris - Depart for home Your vacation ends after breakfast this morning. A group transfer will be provided to the airport for your homebound flights. (B)
