These undertakings will more likely provide several important ideas that would suffice related and relevant literatures, which will be used for the creation of better socio-economic growth in Malaysia. The passage from under-development to development means that several inter-related processes occur simultaneously. In an economic sense, development entails the transformation of simple subsistence economies into complex monetary economies. In the process, an increase in the proportion of products that is sold or exchanged and a decline in the proportion of consumption may take place concurrently. The study was carried out to determine the socio- economic demands and gaps of the local population and suggest assistance and interventions required. The overall results of this study reveal the challenges faced at the community level in the District of Bentong in the context of social and economy. This study was carried out via a structured survey throughout the district involving 300 respondents and also complemented with a Focus Group Discussion carried out with key stakeholders.

Acara penuh istiadat itu diadakan di Balairong Seri, Istana Negara te- pat pada jam 3 petang. Abdullah mengangkat sumpah jawatan dan menyimpan rahsia di hadapan Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin pada 22 Mac lalu, sehari selepas BN meme- nangi 198 daripada 219 kerusi Par- limen. Najib, 50, yang pertama kali dilan- tik sebagai Timbalan Perdana Men- teri pada 7 Januari lalu kekal sebagai Timbalan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan.     Muhyiddin Ketuai Istiadat Angkat Sumpah Jawatan Kabinet Baru mStarOnline 16 Mei, 2013 KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin mengetuai istiadat angkat sumpah jawatan Timbalan Perdana Menteri serta Menteri Pelajaran dan Pengajian Tinggi di Istana Negara, pagi Khamis. Istiadat angkat sumpah jawatan menteri dan timbalan menteri itu berlangsung di hadapan Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah. Beliau kemudian melafazkan ikrar sumpah jawatan dan taat setia sebelum menandatangani dokumen rasmi pelantikan disaksikan oleh Ketua Hakim Negara Tun Arifin Zakaria dan Ketua Setiausaha Negara Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa. Upacara penuh istiadat itu disaksikan Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah. Turut hadir menyaksikan ialah Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dan isteri Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor serta bekas Perdana Menteri Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Upacara yang berlangsung di Balairong Seri, Istana Negara itu bermula pukul 10.10 pagi sejurus keberangkatan masuk Seri Paduka Baginda berdua. Selepas Muhyiddin, enam menteri kanan iaitu Datuk Seri G. Surface water samplings were taken from five different locations along Pahang River including three of its river creeks namely Jelai River, Tembeling River and Semantan River. The dissolved oxygen (DO), total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, conductivity and alkalinity or acidity index (pH) were measured in-situ by means of Hydrolab YSI ProPlus. The concentrations of copper, aluminium, iron, manganese, nickel and lead were determined and analyzed using the Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP- OES). The mean values for aluminium are found the highest ranging from 1.03 to 5.88 mgL-1 followed by iron which ranges between 0.76 to 2.46 mgL-1. Copper, manganese, nickel and lead showed low readings of not more than 0.04 mgL-1. The water constituents of Pahang River from the sampling stations namely Jelai River, Semantan River and Tembeling River were suggested to fall under Class IIA according to the INQWS, which means that conventional treatment must be done prior to consumption.
