Received the 2008 Southern District Honor Award for meritorious service to the Southern District of the Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Received the 2006 Presidential Citation Award for contributions to the field of dance from the National Dance Association in Salt Lake City, Utah. Received the 2005 College/University Dance Educator of the Year Award for the 13 state Southern District of the Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Received the 2004-2005 College/University Dance Educator of the Year Award for the state of Georgia from the Georgia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Received the 2004 Presidential Citation Award for planning the national convention from the National Dance Association in New Orleans, LA. Received the 2003 Presidential Citation Award for contributions to the field of dance from Georgia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance at Jekyll Island, GA. Received the 2003 Acknowledgement Award for dedicated service in the field of dance from the Southern District Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance in Savannah GA. Received the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 Most Valuable Parent award at Model Elementary School for volunteering to teach weekly creative dance classes with fourth and fifth graders. Received the 1999 College/University Dance Educator of the Year Award for the state of Georgia by the Georgia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
