Would you like to expand on your answer? Do you support the option to enable sustainable economic development? Would you like to expand on your answer? Do you agree with the Don't change the rating system changes to providing fairer and simpler rates Would you like to expand I do not think it is fair and equitable that Rural property owners who on your answer? have invested in their own water storage and waste water systems should be charged for water and waste water; if ratepayers do not use these these services they should not pay for them particularly when there is no possibility to use them. Council should acknowledge those properties which invest in their own systems and which do not and cannot use public services are actually saving FNDC a considerable amount of money and resources. For them to pay is double dipping and totally unacceptable. Is there any other feedback you would like to share? Additional supporting information Which ward do you live in? Do you support the option We do become a shareholder and contribute to the wider to enable sustainable Investment and Growth Reserve Fund (Council's preferred option) economic development? Would you like to expand There is not enough strong information on this subject for me to on your answer? make an appropriate response. I therefore disagree with any changes. Do you agree with the Don't change the rating system changes to providing fairer and simpler rates Would you like to expand We have heard that the rates, where we live (which places no on your answer? burden on the council thanks to our independent use of water and disposal of wastewater) are expected to rise by 20-30% in the next year, if the council's proposals are carried out. This is hugely unfair, and I will be one of many to fight this proposal if it turns out to be correct.
