Scripture Verses that Speak to God as my Only Anchor We look to Him: Psalm 105:4: Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Psalm 16:8-9: I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure. Psalm 121:1-2: I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. We run to Him: Psalm 27:8: My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek. Proverbs 18:10-11: The name of the Lord is a fortified tower, the righteous run to it and are safe. The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale. We cling to Him: Psalm 63:8: I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. Put your hope in God! Psalm 31:14-15: I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands. Psalm 42:5, 11; 43:5: Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God. Psalm 94:22: The Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge. Psalm 73:28: But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. God as my Citadel and my Comforter: Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Psalm 91:1-2: Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:4-7: He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Psalm 37:39: The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. Psalm 4:8: In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 5:11: Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 21:6: Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. Psalm 28:7-8: The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Isaiah 12:2: Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense. Isaiah 26:3-4: You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 41:10: Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Psalm 71:1-6: In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel. For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. .
