How to use this Psalms reading guide: • Read consistently, but it’s okay if you get behind. If you miss a day, no worries, just pick up on the next day and keep reading. The Psalms don’t have to be read in order! • What are the Psalms? - The Psalms naturally are poems and songs - try to read them as poetry some days and try singing them as songs other days! - The Psalms also are naturally emotional writings. They tap into the depths of human emotion - anger, joy, depression, guilt, celebration, jubilation, questioning, doubt, intense faith, intense fear, and so on. Embrace the Psalms for what they are and have them meet you where you are each day. • ADVICE: - Try to ask yourself and answer these 3 questions each day: 1. What does this say about God? 2. What does this say about me? 3. What does this say about how God and me can be reunited? - Try to write down a one-sentence summary for each Psalm. Maybe keep a journal and record all your entries there, or just them in the margins of your . • MORE THAN ANYTHING, enjoy the Psalms and have them open you up to what God has in store for you this summer!

“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!” (Psalm 150:6)
