We are very pleased to announce that the 2017 Smith-Trotter Family Reunion will be held in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina, on Friday, June 17th through Sunday, June 21st, 2017. This is one reunion you don’t want to miss!
We are working diligently to plan an exciting and memorable weekend, filled with activities and entertainment that all will enjoy. Join us as we celebrate one another and maintain our spirit of unity, love, and fellowship as a family. We pray that our reunion will be a time of remembering, rejoicing, recreating, renewing, but, most importantly, reuniting. That’s what it’s all about; bringing family together!
We have set up an interactive family reunion website, which we encourage everyone to visit and pass along to as many family members as possible. Once you’ve checked-in and have had a chance to relax and unwind from your travels we’re officially kicking off the 2017 Smith-Trotter Reunion weekend with a Welcome Reception! Join us at the Welcome Reception where you’ll receive your welcome packages and T-Shirts. Expect light refreshments and beverages, mingle with loved ones, and enjoy games, fun activities, and door prizes.
Family Fun Day Cookout & Fish Fry Date: Saturday, June 17, 2017 Reunion Host: 440 Scuffletown Road, Simpsonville 29678 Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
We’re firing up the grills and preparing some of your favorite dishes! Get ready for food, games, competitions, and family fun for all ages! All guests are encouraged to wear the reunion t-shirt Saturday. This event will take place at Desimber’s House, there will be plenty to do for the kids and we’ve got the spades and dominoes ready for anybody bold enough to sit down. Wait…did we mention there will be great prizes to win?! Bring your appetite and your A-Game, it’s going to be a full day of fun!
Lil’ Cousins Pool & Ice Cream Social Date: Saturday, June 17, 2017 Discovery Island: 417 Baldwin Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680 Time: 4:00pm - 6:00p.m.
Who doesn’t love Water Slides & Ice Cream?! All the kids are invited to a pool party and ice cream social. Free Admission & Ice Cream will be provided for Smith-Trotter Family Members 12 years of age and younger, the cost for youth/parents is $4.00. Transportation from Clarion Inn to/from the water park will be provided. Chaperones will be present; however, infants/toddlers (up to 4 yrs) must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. In order to get a head count for transportation, admission, and ice cream ** Sign Up by 3pm Saturday is Required **

Calling all Grown Folks to enjoy an evening out featuring a Live Band and Great Food! Dress comfortable and classy, enjoy a complimentary drink and show us your moves on the dance floor and on the pool table. Once again…there will be some great giveaways! There is No Cover Charge for Smith-Trotter Reunion members. There will be light refreshments & the bar will be open, please drink responsibly. Designated Drivers will be available.
Big Cousins Pizza Party & Movie Night Out Date: Saturday, June 17, 2017 Regal Cinemas: 1029 Woodruff Rd, Greenville, SC 29607 Time: 7:30pm - 10:30pm
The Cousins are back at it with a Pizza Party & Movie Night! Pizza, a Free Movie Pass, and transportation to/from Clarion Hotel to Regal Cinemas will be provided to young adults ages 13-20. Chaperones will accompany the Big Cousins Movie Night Out. Parents can also drop off children (12 younger) at the Hospitality Suite at Clarion Hotel for pizza & movies and head to the Reunion Party beginning at 7:30pm, please pick up kids by 11:30pm unless otherwise arranged. Babies are welcomed, and there will be adequate chaperones for infants/toddlers & children.

If you don’t feel like leaving yet, No Problem! Come hang out and enjoy one last evening of family fun at Cleaster’s House. Hospitality Suite Throughout the Reunion Weekend, we will have a hospitality suite with games, music, snacks and beverages available for all Smith-Trotter Family Members. This room will be staffed on Saturday with babysitters for the Reunion Night and Big Cousins’ Night Out. During this time the room will be filled with age appropriate board games, video games, toys, movies, music, snacks and beverages.

This reunion we are honoring our family roots by acknowledging Luther Smith and Rella Trotter, the patriarch and matriarch of our family tree. We are pleased to offer this T-Shirt for the affordable price of $12.00 each. Once purchased your T-Shirt(s) will be set aside for distribution at the Welcome Reception. If you wish to have your shirt(s) mailed to you, there is an additional $3.00 fee for shipping & handling.
