Saya mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pembicara kunci, Romo Haryatmoko, Ph.D., SJ (Pakar Hermeneutika – STF Driyarkara, Jakarta) atas kesediannya membawakan topik “Menggugat Rezim Kepastian menurut Pemikir-pemikir Poststrukturalisme.” Ucapan terima kasih diberikan pula kepada kedua pembicara utama: Drs. Tatang Iskarna, S.S. M.Hum. Yogyakarta, 28 Oktober 2017 Dr. Yoseph Yapi Taum, M.Hum. Kata kunci: perempuan minangkabau, kekuatan, kelembutan, si ganjua lalai Abstract Si Ganjua Lalai dance work is a picture of Minangkabau women who besides having strength also has tenderness. Prophetic social sciences: toward an Islamic-based transformative social sciences Pradana Boy ZTF Department of Malay Studies, National University of Singapore; and Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University of Malang E-mail: [email protected] Abstract This article discusses of one of the most important type of social sciences devel- oped in Indonesian context. In the midst of debate between Western secular social sciences and Islamic social sciences, Kuntowijoyo offered a genuine yet critical formula of social sciences. The formula called Ilmu Sosial Profetik (ISP) attempted to build a bridge between secular social science and Islamic inclina- tion of social science. This article describes the position of ISP in the context of critical position of Muslim social scientists on the hegemony and domination of Orientalist tendency in studying Islam. At the end, the author offers a conclusion that ISP can actually be regarded as Islamic-based transformative science that can be further developed for a genuine indigenous theory of social sciences from the Third World.

  • Russia in the Middle East: a New Front in the Information War?
Russia in the Middle East: A New Front in the Information War? By Donald N. Jensen Summary Russia uses its information warfare capability as a tactic, especially its RT Arabic and Sputnik news services, to advance its foreign policy goals in the Middle East: become a great power in the region; reduce the role of the United States; prop up allies such as Bashir al- Assad in Syria, and fight terrorism. Evidence suggests that while Russian media narratives are disseminated broadly in the region by traditional means and online, outside of Syria its impact has been limited. The ability of regional authoritarian governments to control the information their societies receive, cross cutting political pressures, the lack of longstanding ethnic and cultural ties with Russia, and widespread doubts about Russian intentions will make it difficult for Moscow to use information operations as an effective tool should it decide to maintain an enhanced permanent presence in the region. Introduction Russian assessments of the international system make it clear that the Kremlin considers the country to be engaged in full-scale information warfare. This is reflected in Russia’s latest military doctrine, approved December 2014, comments by public officials, and Moscow’s aggressive use of influence operations.1 The current Russian practice of information warfare combines a number of tried and tested tools of influence with a new embrace of modern technology and capabilities such as the Internet. Some underlying objectives, guiding principles and state activity are broadly recognizable as reinvigorated aspects of subversion campaigns from the Cold War era and earlier. But Russia also has invested hugely in updating the principles of subversion.

ILMU SOSIAL PROFETIK (TELA’AH PEMIKIRAN KUNTOWIJOYO) SKRIPSI Diajukan untuk Melengkapi Tugas-tugas dan Memenuhi Syarat-syarat Guna Mendapatkan Gelar Sarjana dalam Ilmu Ushuluddin OLEH: ZULHERI 10731000036 PROGRAM S1 JURUSAN AKIDAH FILSAFAT JURUSAN AKIDAH FILSAFAT FAKUTAS USHULUDDIN UIN SULTAN SYARIF KASIM RIAU 2012 ABSTRAK Judul: “ILMU SOSIAL PROFETIK (TELA’AH PEMIKIRAN PROF. DR.
