GREAT REVIVAL REPORTED IN PEKIN, INDIANA

The Mount Zion Church, in Pekin, Indiana, had planned to end their two week revival with an "Old Fashion Day". However, the pastor at Mt. Zion. Rev. Jake Hamilton, and Brother Bob, who is a member of a singing group called "The Samaritans", made a promise to God that they would not close the Revival as long as there were conversions taking place. The morning of "Old Fashion Day", and after Brother Bob's sermon, two people received Christ as their Saviour. The Cook Family was told that they had been baptising converts right after the I services at 10:00 or 11:00 at night and on Sundays. The Cook Family attended the Sunday afternoon baptism in Blue River, then returned to sing at the Sunday night service, as scheduled. The church was packed so full that all the Sunday School The Cook Family, above, performed at the Mount Zion Church in Pekin, Indiana on chairs were brought out and still everyone thechurch's"Old Fashion Day" held onSeptember 1.
