    Summary of Sexual Abuse Claims in Chapter 11 Cases of Boy Scouts of America There are approximately 101,135sexual abuse claims filed. Of those claims, the Tort Claimants’ Committee estimates that there are approximately 83,807 unique claims if the amended and superseded and multiple claims filed on account of the same survivor are removed. The summary of sexual abuse claims below uses the set of 83,807 of claim for purposes of claims summary below.1 The Tort Claimants’ Committee has broken down the sexual abuse claims in various categories for the purpose of disclosing where and when the sexual abuse claims arose and the identity of certain of the parties that are implicated in the alleged sexual abuse. Attached hereto as Exhibit 1 is a chart that shows the sexual abuse claims broken down by the year in which they first arose. Please note that there approximately 10,500 claims did not provide a date for when the sexual abuse occurred. As a result, those claims have not been assigned a year in which the abuse first arose. Attached hereto as Exhibit 2 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the state or jurisdiction in which they arose. Please note there are approximately 7,186 claims that did not provide a location of abuse. Those claims are reflected by YY or ZZ in the codes used to identify the applicable state or jurisdiction. Those claims have not been assigned a state or other jurisdiction. Attached hereto as Exhibit 3 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the Local Council implicated in the sexual abuse.

We offer Cincinnati-based week-long service experiences for high schools, youth ministries, campus ministries, scout troops, adult groups, and families. We also can offer shorter trips, service days, and hosting of your retreat program. Opportunities are available year-round. How much does it cost? All groups are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. The week is not booked until deposits are received. All payments are non-refundable. On April 28, 1900, Archbishop Peter Bourgade states “the part of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe known as San Juan County and Rio San Juan has been erected into a new mission or parish. The parish includes the settlements of Blanco, Largo, Pine River, Farmington, Aztec and La Plata.” In May 1900 Rev. Jean M. Immortalized in Willa Cather's novel Death Comes for the Arch" bishop and eulogized in Paul Horgan's award"winning biography Lamy of Santa Fe, the French~born cleric has often been associated with the Europeanization of the Hispanic"American church of the Southwest and with the clash of cultures that erupted when he tried to impose French Catholic norms and practices upon the area's indigenous relig­ ious system. Although initially resisted, the reforms advanced by Lamy and his French co-workers had a lasting effect. As Horgan notes, even . the French-styled churches that Lamy erected served as "reminders of France," shaping "the whole material character" of the Catholic South­ west, just as "his French clergy were affecting its spirituallife."l Gerald McKevitt, S.J., professor of history in Santa Clara University, has written extensively on Jesuit history.

The year has gone by quickly and, although we still have the Members’ Recital (3PM, June 13, Church of the Redeemer in Hyde Park) left to enjoy, we are already looking towards next year with excitement. A full list of next year’s activities will appear in August. Among the programs we have planned or are considering are a banquet for musicians and clergy, a program on service playing and improvisation, a demonstration of Midi technology, a choral workshop with Paul Tucker (Head of Choral Studies at the University of Kansas), and a program on new organ music in varying levels of difficulty. Of course, we will hold another scholarship competition and a Pedals Pipes and Pizza event. In addition, we will begin grant-writing activities to underwrite some of our events, including the possibility of an organ concert series. I hope that you noted the article in the June issue of The American Organist (p.52) that reported on the chapter’s “Symposium on the Organ and Choral Music of Adolphus Hailstork” in February at Christ Church Cathedral. If you didn’t attend the event, you missed an utterly extraordinary program. Some of the works performed are unpublished and I don’t expect ever to hear them again. Some of the works were so well performed that I doubt I will ever hear them done better again. This program certainly set the bar for outstanding performance. All the choirs and organists who produced this program were a great demonstration of the exceptional musical power of the greater Cincinnati area and a fine feather in our chapter’s cap.
