Hvozdovic Serving in defense of his country as a Marine has been a life- long dream of Joshua A. Hvozdovic of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. That dream became reality on March 10th when he graduated follow- ing the Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island, S.C. after completing a 13-week program there. Mem- bers of his family traveled to South Carolina to be with him for this special day in his life. Following graduation, Joshua enjoyed a 10-day leave at home visiting with his family. During boot camp, Joshua received the Marksmen Expert Level Award scoring 324 out of 350. Joshua recently reported to Fort Leon- ard Wood, Missouri where he will be trained as an Expert Mo- tor Transport Repair Technician, after which he will be assigned to a Duty Station, whose loca- tion is unknown at the present Private Joshua A. Hvozdovic time. Joshua has been a Sokol member of Assembly 59 in Wilkes-Barre since birth. He has been active in our various Sokol sporting events since childhood. He has competed at our Interna- tional Slets and has been a regular Group 7 team member at our In- ternational Softball Tournaments. Our congratulations and fraternal best wishes go out to Private Joshua A. Hvozdovic as he begins his service in defense of our great country in the best traditions of the United States Marine Corps whose motto of Semper Fidelis - Al- ways faithful has guided its members since their founding in 1775 by the Continental Congress.
