Dear Friends of St. Paul’s Lutheran School, Welcome to the St. Paul’s How Does HIS Garden Grow Dinner and Auction. We thank you for joining us for this annual reunion of those in the community who share our vision for vibrant growth of the St. Paul’s Lutheran School educational ministry. We hope you find this to be a joyful and memorable event. Your support this evening will be a vital contribution to both the present and the future of St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Last year's auction helped fund our new science specialist, science lab resources, new desks, new PE equipment, a second mobile iPad lab, and much more! This year we hope to utilize auction funds to implement a new school management solution, enhance curriculum, expand technology resources, upgrade classroom environments, enhance playground equipment, and continue to build on last year's improvements. We would like to thank the many volunteers including church members, parents, faculty & staff, and friends of St. Paul’s who have given of their time and energy to bring us to and through this evening! Furthermore, we continue to be amazed by, and are beyond grateful for the generosity of our community, businesses, and supporters who have donated to our event. Thank you & blessings to you all! Danielle Walter & Tara Breidert, Auction Co-Chairs GENERAL AUCTION RULES All bidders must register at the door. Each bidder will be assigned a bid number card and will receive an auction catalog. Use your bid card for both the live and silent auction. Check your catalog for descriptions, limitations, and donors. The Auction Committee has attempted to describe the items correctly, however, all property is sold "as is." Display stands, plate holders, picture frames, and etc. are not included unless specifically mentioned in the bid item description. To begin the check out process, present your bid card at the Cashier’s table. Payment must be made in full the night of the auction. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. Certain restrictions may apply. See individual certificates for terms of use and expiration dates. Early cash out is acceptable, however you are encouraged to wait until the end to pay all at once. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, Master Card, or American Express. A signature constitutes a legal contract to buy. Credit Card receipts will be provided by Text or Email. All items must be removed the night of the auction, unless special arrangements are made. We will not be responsible for items once they leave the room. No statement contained in the catalog, or made orally at the sale, or elsewhere, shall be deemed to be a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability for tax purposes or for general value. Specific rules for the Dessert-Dash, Wine Grab, and Raffles may be found within this catalog. In case of duplicate or multiple items, the highest bidder gets first choice. If available, additional like or matching items will be offered for purchase to the next highest bidder(s) at the same price as the highest bid, or according to the decision of the Auction Chairperson(s). The Auction Committee reserves the right to change, add to, or remove from the auction any items it deems appropriate, even though the same may have been previously advertised, cataloged, or verbally indicated as being available for auction. SILENT AUCTION RULES All silent auction items will be assigned to 1 of 4 different colored sections that will be closed at various times throughout the evening and in random order. Countdown announcements will be made prior to closing each section. All items numbered in the silent auction have bid sheets attached or affixed nearby. To bid, write your bid number legibly and your bid amount according to the bid increments. Any bid without a valid bid card number will be automatically disqualified. You may bid on any or all items as many times as you wish. Please observe the minimum bid and the bid increment amounts. Each bidder may return and bid again on any item until the section has closed. Winning Bids: The highest bidder is responsible for purchasing the item. When a section closes, auction staff will take the bid sheet to the cashier's table, where successful bidders will pay for the items they have won. Upon presentation of the winner card presented to them by the cashier, they may pick up the merchandise from the hostess at the Silent Auction tables. If the item includes a gift certificate, the successful bidder may pick up the certificate from the cashier. PAYMENT IN FULL THE NIGHT OF THE AUCTION IS MANDATORY. All sales are final. LIVE AUCTION RULES Live Auction bidding will begin close to 8:00 and will continue until all items have been sold. When bidding, hold up your bid card number toward the Auctioneer. A bid card raised and acknowledged by the Auctioneer constitutes a legal contract to buy. PAYMENT IN FULL THE NIGHT OF THE AUCTION IS MANDATORY. All sales are final. NO exchanges or refunds except where stated. Values set on items being auctioned are estimates only and are not warranted for tax purposes or for general value. WINE DRAW - Everybody is a winner!!! To participate in the Wine Draw, guests can purchase a “draw” for either red wine, white wine, or both!!! Guest will then draw a numbered cork from a bowl and will win the corresponding bottle of wine that they can take home at the end of the evening. Retail value of RED WINES is between $18 and $55. Retail value of WHITE WINES is between $12 and $35. RED draws are $20 or 2 draws for $35 WHITE draws are $15 or 2 draws for $25 1 RED draw and 1 WHITE draw for $30 RAFFLES SEAHAWKS RAFFLE RULES The night of the auction, there will only be 250 raffle tickets available for purchase. Raffle tickets are $20 each. Between 5:00 Pm and 6:00 Pm individuals are initially limited to 2 raffle tickets, which will be sold at check-in on the night of the event. After 6:00 any remaining raffle tickets will be available for purchase in addition to the tickets purchased at check-in. Tickets will be sold until all 250 have been purchased or until just prior to the beginning of the Live Auction. There will be a 5 minute warning prior to the drawing and at that time an announcement will be made regarding the number of tickets left for sale. The winner will be announced at the beginning of the Live Auction. The winner of the raffle drawing will be awarded 2 tickets to the Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, November 22nd at Seattle’s Century Link Field. Tickets are near 50 yard line, in Section CLB 235, Row I, Seats 9 and 10. Winner must be present to win. Winner must present the winning ticket to claim prize. If winning ticket is not presented within 5 minutes of being called, another ticket will be drawn until a winning ticket is presented. The Auctioneer's and Auction Committee's decision is final. HEADS OR TAILS Join in this fun live auction game of HEADS OR TAILS for a chance to win $400 dollars in local merchant gift cards just in time for all your Christmas shopping. Purchase a wrist band for just $10 at check-in or with the M.C. prior to the start of the HEADS OR TAILS fun You must be present to win. The start of the game will be announced just prior to the beginning of the live auction. The Auctioneer will announce the start of the game and ask all participants with wrist bands to stand. Participants will be asked to choose either HEADS or TAILS by placing their hands on their heads or placing their hands on their “tails” Auctioneer will flip a coin and announce the winning result - HEADS OR TAILS. All participants who did not select the winning choice sit down and are no longer eligible to play. Remaining contestants again choose HEADS OR TAILS and Auctioneer flips the coin. All participants who did not choose the winning choice sit down. The process repeats itself until only 5 participants remain. The final 5 participants will come up on the stage located next to the Auctioneer and the process will continue until only 3 participants remain. When 3 participants remain, 2 must choose the same, and one chooses the other option until 1 winning participant remains. If 2 participants remain, one must choose Heads and one must choose Tails until one Winning participant remains. Auctioneers decision of HEADS or TAILS is final. DESSERT-DASH The Dessert-Dash involves each person at the table combining their bids to claim one of the delicious desserts available at the Dessert-Dash table.
