TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

APC TOURNAMENT COURSE Three, 3’ x 12’, 36 sq. ft. heavy carpet putting mats provided by Simons Ent. Grp. Hole is elevated 2” with foam riser. (Do not step on raised foam during play.) Balls and Double Sided Putters provided. You may bring your own . REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEE Onsite registration, day of event, starts at 3 p.m. and continues until final rounds. Qualifying rounds begin at 3:30 p.m. Final rounds begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. \\ $5 cash entry fee per round. Participants may pay and play up to three qualifying rounds and post their highest score. No additional fees if you qualify for final or Grand Champion rounds. Fair admission is not included. Click link to find out how and where: https://okstatefair.com/information/hours-and-admissions ROUNDS A round of consists of 18 challenging putts from 2 – 12 feet. Each round of golf with up to 4 players per mat is to be completed within 15 minutes. Adult & Junior players may play together on prelim rounds. Tournament director has authority to group players together. 2 balls will be used per mat to keep pace moving. Putt - retrieve ball – give to person in line behind next putter to keep pace moving. Qualifying rounds – may pay and play up to three times Final round - Top 25% lowest scores and ties advance – one round only st rd o In the event of a tie for 1 – 3 places (in both divisions), play-off holes will start at hole 7 and continue to 8, then 9, etc. until places are determined. Grand champion round – 1st place adult and junior play each other Practice Rounds – 3 regular putting mats set up for registered participants only o Time limit of 10 minutes – can move to end of line to practice again o Players allowed 3 practice putts each on comp. mat when time to compete. SCORING Ball must go directly into the cup. IT CANNOT BE BANKED. There are no re-putts. Only one putt per hole. Par 3 holes 1, 2, 10, 11: Make=Par (3) Miss=Bogey (4) – no birdies Par 4 holes 3-7, 12-16: Make=Birdie (3) Miss=Bogey (5) Par 5 holes 8, 9, 17,18: Make=Eagle (3) Miss=Bogey (6) A perfect game - all 18 putts made = score of 54. Miss all 18 putts and score 90. Each grouping will get one scorecard and a Putters Cup volunteer will keep score for players to prevent misrepresenting scores and keep round moving. After round, event volunteer will take card to Leaderboard table to record. LEADERBOARD Top 25, 18-hole scores will be posted on the leaderboard to generate suspense and a spirited competition. Leaderboard will be updated continuously. Players are responsible for checking the board periodically to see if they might make “the cut” and need to return for the finals. DIVISIONS & AWARDS Two Divisions: Adults 14+, Juniors 6-13 1st – 3rd place awards in each division to include but not limited to and accessories, 2020 Fair one day admission and parking, 2021 season admission and parking pass vouchers, Fair swag. Grand Champion will receive their 1st place prize pack plus a brand-new American Putting Classic Tournament Course valued over $275.
