JPInstruments Primary/TSO Instrument Order Work Sheet Rev. IR 04/2016 Marki0404ng and Configuration Requirements JJ Marking and Configuration Requirements for Certified Aircraft JPInstruments will configure your EDM to the range generated. A configuration file for a primary instrument limits, markings and hardware outlined for the specified can only be generated or changed by JPInstruments. If aircraft listed on this form. All data will be provided by any of the information provided on this form is wrong, the pilot/owner and the mechanic and must be verified there will be a reprogramming fee to change the for accuracy. The data must match the POH/AFM and configuration. IMPORTANT: The information in this reflect any changes required by any AD’s, Supplements document must be verified for accuracy and match the or STC’s. Your limits and marking information may be aircraft’s hardware and POH/AFM marking cross-checked against the instruments currently requirements. It is up to the installer/aircraft owner to mounted in your aircraft panel. verify applicability of their aircraft with the STC AML for This document must be completed and signed by the the Primary Instrument they wish to install. Applicability aircraft owner AND by an FAA certificated mechanic. is assumed to have been verified by submission of this This form should then be delivered to JPInstruments, at order form. Provide a copy of your original AFM/POH which time a configuration file for a specific EDM will be and STC’s along with corresponding AFMS. Gages: YES NO If NO, please complete “Full Fuel Level (Usable)” so that we can set up the fuel totalizer for you. Important Information: The EDM can provide fuel level readings for straight and level flight and is only as accurate as the sending units. When calibrating the EDM to the fuel tank, the aircraft must be in flight attitude. The EDM cannot correct for inconsistent or non-repeatable readings from a Resistive Fuel Level Sensor. Unfortunately, many Resistive Fuel Level Sensors (and in some cases even new units) exhibit these problems. If you find inconsistent or inaccurate fuel level readings (due to a defective Resistive Fuel Level Sensor), you must have the sensor replaced or repaired. Read the “WARNING” in the EDM Installation Manual. JPI can display 4 Tanks maximum. If you have 6 Tanks, you will have to retain your two tip tank gauges. Probe Type: Switch Operated Fuel Gauges? Engine Firewall_____is standard with 10ft. leads. DAU installation in the cockpit_____requires 20ft. leads at an additional cost. Note: Airframe Hobbs and Tach time will be entered during installation and programming by the installer using the Factory Programming function. Non-primary gauge options are also installer/customer configurable and will not be displayed on initial power up. Use EDMConfig to enable. Fuel quantity gauges will be Red X’d until the fuel tables have been completed and saved in the EDM. Fuel flow: Please answer the following questions for the correct fuel flow transducer. Is your fuel system gravity fed? NO YES Is your engine carbureted with an engine driven pump? NO YES Is your engine fuel injected NO YES Do you have a Pressure Carburetor with a fuel return?
