Interview series: Ray Kogovšek

Back in the day, it was my grandmother who was responsible for arranging weekly meetings of Slovenians living in the area. These organizations provided them with insurance protection, gave them a place to meet and hang out, to exchange their experience and honor their heritage. So, I guess a part of being an honorary consul is to assure that Slovenians still get together and do things our parents and grandparents did. I am here to make sure our heritage is not forgotten.
