Learning Project - to be done throughout the week

The project aims to provide opportunities for your child to gain a better understanding of our key question - How do the weather and seasons affect our world?

Research one of the following: Floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, sandstorm and droughts. Answer/find out the following: -Where do these normally happen? -Why do they happen? -What is the on life?

Create a leaflet/poster: Using the research you have made on: floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, sandstorms and droughts. Remember to be informative and creative!

Be a meteorologist! Using the weather journals in your home learning pack go onto BBC Weather and record the weather of 2-4 countries of your choice. Try choosing countries in different continents to see how the weather compares.

Role Play - You can dress up and get your parents to record you being a weather reporter, providing the weather forecast using your weather journals.

Artwork – Create a weather and/or seasons inspired art piece: Let your imagination go, you can use felt tip pens, paint, materials to create a collage, photographs etc.
