Muhyiddin Heads List Of 935 Recipients Of Sarawak State Awards Bernama 14 Sept, 2013

KUCHING, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin heads a list of 935 recipients of Sarawak state awards in conjunction with Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng's 92nd birthday Saturday.

He is the sole recipient of the Datuk Patinggi Bintang Kenyalang (DP) award, which carries the title "Datuk Patinggi".

Sarawak Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing and Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Douglas Uggah Embas are the two recipients conferred the Datuk Amar Bintang Kenyalang (DA) award, which carries the title "Datuk Amar."

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein are among four recipients of the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (PNBS), which carries the title "Datuk Seri."

The other two recipients are Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa and Limkokwing University of Creative Technology president Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing while Tokuyama Corporation Japan president Kazuhisa Kogo is the sole PNBS (Honorary) recipient.

Nine recipients bestowed the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (PGBK) award, which carries the title "Datuk" are National Aerospace and Defence Industries Sdn Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Johan, Prime Minister's Department's Implementation Coordination Unit director-general Tan Sri Shukry Mohd Salleh and former Works Deputy Minister Datuk Yong Khoon Seng.

The others are Sarawak Industrial Development Assistant Minister Julaihi Narawi,Sarawak Public Health Assistant Minister Dr Jerip Susil, Sarawak Housing Assistant Minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, First Division Infantry commander Maj-Gen Datuk Mohd Zaki Mokhtar, Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Henry Tee Hock Hin and Datuk Ismail Hashim.

Sarawak Energy Berhad Chief Executive Officer Torstein Dale Sjotveit is the sole recipient of the PGBK (Honorary).

Six recipients of the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (DJBS) award, which carries the title "Datu" are Sarawak State Mufti Kipli Yassin, Yayasan Sarawak director Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Sarawak Land and Survey Department Director Sajeli Kipli, Deputy State Financial Secretary Laura Lee Ngien Hion, Deputy Sarawak Police Commisioner Datuk Law Hong Soon and Sarawak Education Department Director Abdillah Adam.

Perkim Sarawak chairman Datin Hanifah Hajar Taib-Alsree, Sarawak Yang di Pertua Negeri private secretary Khir Busrah, Usaha Cendera Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Ngeng Eng Cheng, Senator Dayang Madinah Tun Abang Openg, Malaysian Pepper Board director-general Grunsin Ayom, Malaysia Productivity Corporation deputy director-general Abdul Latif Abu Seman and Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) executive director Baharuddin Abdullah are among 18 recipients of the Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS) award, which carries the title "Dato".

Others conferred the PSBS are Forescom Sarawak Sdn Bhd director Hii King Chiong, businessman Andrew Wong Kee Yew, Plaza Merdeka Holdings Sdn Bhd managing director Steve Ng Thian Yew, lawyer Wong Sing Nang, businessman Henry Opang Luhat, Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) supreme council member ChaiShong Phian, Public Service Commission member Pengiran Zain Pengiran Salleh, former Kuching City North mayor Abang Mohamad Atei Abang Medaan, businessman Winsel Ahtos, William Tang Tieng Kee and Rorete@ Clarence Rorote Sagon while Indonesian musician Idris Sardi is the sole recipient of the PSBS (Honorary).

Meanwhile, Bernama Sarawak bureau chief Caroline Anne Ranyed Jackson is also conferred the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB).

Other recipients were for the Johan Bintang Sarawak (JBS) (11), Johan Bintang Kenyalang (JBK) (10), Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (PPC) (three), Pingat Perwira Negeri (PPN) (three), Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS) (29), Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK)(57), PPB (83), PPB (Posthumous) (one), Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) (Honorary)(one), ABS (253) Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK) (167) and Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS) (274).
