Public 2009 Update to the Contra Costa Countywide Transportation Plan Review Draft B 30 January 2009

Comprehensive Transportation Project List

As part of the 2009 Update, the Authority has identified a variety of projects and pro‐ grams designed to carry out the strategies in the Plan. These projects run the gamut of all transportation improvements: from the widening of freeways or the extension of BART to new bicycle trails and signal coordination.

The following set of projects and programs—referred to as the Comprehensive Trans‐ portation Projects List—was generated from the Action Plans, the 2007 Contra Costa CMP, MTC’s 2030 Transportation Plan, and local staff input. Authority staff has put these projects into a computer database which can be queried and reorganized for a variety of purposes. This database was, for example, used to define the “project,” and alternatives to it, for the required CEQA analysis on the 2009 Update.

The following tables are organized by RTPC and then by project type. They include a short description of the projects, the primary sponsor, project status, and estimated to‐ tal project cost.
